Roofer & guttering repair recommendation

I can recommend David and his team from Noorwood Roofing.

I had to get some tiles replaced as a matter of urgency.

David was prompt, efficient and resonably priced.

I will be using his services again - if the need arises.

I've used them a couple of times, both times as a matter of urgency and they've done two great jobs for me.

One repair was to the guttering/pointing and the other was a leak in the roof. Both jobs were completed with a 10 year warranty.

He is a really friendly guy and knows his stuff. I would not hesitate to use him again.

We used David O'Connell for the first time this week after a blocked gutter at the top of the house and some defective cladding conspired to bring about a water leak. He responded promptly to my call, came to look at the problem the next day and then arranged to come back within days to fix the problem. Roof now fixed, blocked guttering section cleared and the rest of it also checked out. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who finds themselves with a similar problem.

Since my post last year, David and Patrick have visited on two more occasions. The first time was to replace a spiggott that had fallen off a downpipe that was causing a leak into the house, and the second to carry out some repointing and rendering at roof level. On both occasions, David was very reliable and the jobs carried out professionally, efficiently and in good time. Very happy to give another recommendation.

I contacted David and his team when we needed our gutters replaced and he came and gave a quote and made some recommendations for some pointing work and roof repairs which we had thought also needed sorting. His team came over on time the next week and were polite and efficient with their work. Extremely happy with the work and would definitely recommend and use again.

I called Norwood Roofing a few weeks ago on the strength of this thread and was not disappointed. David came to look at the job the next day (two jobs - fixing some leaking guttering, and replacing a flat roof). I was happy with his quoted price and booked him to come the following week to carry out the work.

It sheeted with rain the day he was due to come so he fitted us in on the following Sunday. He came with Alex and Patrick and all three just got on with it without fuss or any real disruption to us, and were friendly and polite. Everything seems great - it has rained since and no leaks!

So I would certainly use them again, and recommend them to others.

Great experience with David and Patrick from Norwood Roofing. They are friendly, trustworthy, tidy and did a brilliant repair job on our roof - in fact, they did more work than originally quoted for but only charged the original amount we agreed. I would also like to add how pleased I was with David's service. I selected David to fix my mothers roof based on the recommendations from EDF. I was particularly concerned as my mother is in her 70's and I knew I wouldn't be around to meet with David when he arrived. I had no need to fear as my mother said he was such a nice man. He was totally courteous and he took before and after pictures so as to prove he had done a great job - even though we didn't ask for pictures. He could have easily had said the job was done as we would never know until there was damage.

I can't recommend this guy enough.

I'm about to call him now to look at my roof.

Another recommendation for the team at Norwood roofing specialists. Dave and his team did a great job putting in new guttering. They even sorted a few problems with our neighbours gutters and pipes that they spotted, very kind of them.

We recently used David and his team for a tricky job to try and stop an intermittent leak from our balcony into the room below. Tricky in the sense that the leak is intermittent and it's difficult to work out exactly where it's coming from, so David has devised a first fix that should cover most of the potential causes/problems - when we thought our only option would be to do something much more major to the balcony.

He was really responsive to emails, explained all the options clearly, team turned up on time and at a fair price (more than fair if this fix stops our leak!). Very happy to deal with them.

He repaired my leaking roof after one roofer had attempted to do so several times just making it worse (but still taking the money). Other roofers came, didn't know how to fix it and did not even bother to give me a quote. David 'came, saw and conquered'. What I also appreciated was that he quoted promptly (reasonable,) replied to messages and turned up when he said he would, on time!

Another recommendation for David and Patrick - David came quickly to quote, quoted a reasonable price and they were able to complete the work within a couple of days. Both v nice and polite too. This is the second time I've used them - first time to fix a flat roof above a bay window (about a year ago - no leaks or damp since) and this time to sort out some pointing and cement work around a window. Will definitely use again!

Another recommendation for David - David has helped us twice with our old roof. This time it was more urgent as pigeons had taken advantage of easy access and he came the very next day, shooed away the unwelcome house guest and filled the hole. Many thanks

Many thanks to all on this thread for the recommendations.

David and Pat came out very quickly to inspect the cause of the leak in our building and were available to fix the roof and gutter at short notice. Over a week has now passed and even after the very heavy rain this morning there's no more leak!

Other roofers we contacted had recommended scaffolding but David and Pat were able to complete the work with their ladders, meaning a significant saving for us. We were also given a 10-year written guarantee for the work there and then.

We're very happy and would echo all the recommendations on this thread.
