Dear Pexmas,

Why do you charge entrance to your events? It seems wrong to charge to have to enter an event where there are already lots of stallholders who have paid you to set up their businesses. I am especially referring to the one you have in the gardens in the summertime. That's like charging to enter Goose Green to go to the Goose Green Fair.

Yes we did charge in our first year - partly in support of partner charities and partly to help fund the whole event which is extraordinarily expensive. We didn't want to charge folks, was simply the only way for the event to exist, and so as soon as we had grown enough to build up some funding and make the event free we did! Haven't charged for our public events in over a year and don't plan to again!

Pretty sure I was charged to go into your Christmas market on Elm Grove.

Instant back up after being nickel & dimed, hence no purchases despite seeing some decent stuff. Saw a lot of the same from other people... poor stallholders. I can survive without a Peckham tea towel after all.

Yes the Christmas event entry fee was for a donation to the Kids Company. We've also made donations from the entry fee to Pecan, Peckham's Food Bank at past events. Munch - The Peckham Festival was free entry, as is The Nunhead Bite. It would be lovely to see you there for fun and frolics.

Thanks so much to everyone who came to The Nunhead Bite! It was a fabulous weekend.

Vegan cakes were Cozmic Cookiez Cakez and you can find them on twitter @CozmicCC

The curly chips on a stick were by Super Chip www.super-chip.co.uk - really amazing.

Our next outing will be on 13th December in Peckham for a Festive Eat, Shop, Sing! Hope to see you there.

Thanks again

Pexmas

    • A huge shout-out to Andy! He’s helped us several times now and is an absolute gem. He doesn't just do the easy jobs; he finds solutions to the difficult, non-obvious problems that others might miss. He is very hard working, incredibly friendly, great with pets, and always leaves the place better than he found it. 10/10!
    • Here to add my voice to those praising Temi. She just painted my dilapidated home office in ED and did a fantastic job in just two days in a much lighter colour, including woodwork, damp blocker and filling holes. She's efficient, on time and I barely heard a peep out of her; she just got on with the job. I recommend her wholeheartedly.
    • The residents & families of the estate are getting parking fines,  out of the blue , the residents parking system waa changed from Southern to Sippi with cameras put up in the car park and people issued with fines entering the estate for more then 10 minutes , families can no longer pick up or drop off family due to a new 10 minute wait fine. Residents are appealing with Sippi and Southern as there was no letters to consult of a parking change,  new waiting times or fines, delivery drivers are getting fines everyday,  if you get a fine,  appeal it, there is no signage up to say about parking fines or waiting time
    • Threads that devolve like this should be moved to the Lounge, so the 'comedy' can continue in an appropriate vacuum.
