barcelona with a toddler, accomodation recommendations?

Trying to plan a christmas getaway, but dont know where to start looking for accomodation.

Has anyone been recently, can you recommend a specific place to stay or a good website to start with? Many thanks.

Try the Hotel Praktik Rambla - quiet yet in the thick of it. No breakfast but there's a deal with a cafe next door or lots of places nearby. Look it up on Trip Advisor.

We went a couple of months ago and stayed in a great hotel K+K hotel Picasso. It's near the Parc, Zoo, train station and near a cool area called Born. We could quickly walk to a stop for the hop on bus tour and the restaurants in the marina area as well as to Ramblas if you can manage a longer walk.

Hotel provided a cot. Highchair at breakfast. There is a pool on the roof too which was a bonus (might be too cold when you go).

Our little one was a year old.

Haven't been for a while but recently returned from trip to Paris and all of our friends were using airbnb for apartments - might be an idea?

I've used these people a couple of times:

though they used to have more apartments.

Tripadvisor, airbnb, homeaway all have loads and with loads of reviews.

As to areas, I'd also recommend the Born, or Gracia. Both areas are central enough without being right in the centre, if that makes sense.
