I like North East East Dulwich and South West East Dulwich, but wouldn't be seen dead in North West East Dulwich. I once crossed Barry Road, but it was unfamiliar and scary and I returned a little changed inside. I can't describe how exactly but things aren't quite the same. I won't do that again.

I could say I live in between Crystal Palace and Beckenham, place called Kent House but I'm in Penge. What's in a name anyway, it's where you're happy to live that counts not what it's called.

Cheers for the stats link, TT. Eleven reported crimes involving weapons in 12 months for Penge and Cator, up to August 2014. With crime stats like that I shall never leave my house without being tooled up with a potato peeler again...

Beckenham beat Penge's violent crimes 80 to 30 in August. I'm not sure if the nylon curtain crimes come under that bracket, I think they need a section of their own.

No they say.. 'Do you actually live in East Dulwich proper or Nunhead / Peckham boarders.

People used to drop the East from there address line in 1980. Now they underline capitalize it; :)
