Looking for removals company recommendations

Thanks Asha. I can't find anything here when I search that name. Does he have a few people working at once(I.e. A proper big lorry and people used to shifting everything quickly and expertly.) I'm really not looking for man with van, more a proper removals firm. Maybe he fits that description but would be good to know.

Hello

My personal recommendation is Roberts & Denny

http://www.removal-online.com/

They moved us back in June, and did a great job - it was also well worth the extra money to get them to pack the glassware/kitchen stuff/breakables etc.....

They also provide boxes for packing your items and packing materials.

Thought they were great!

Second on our list!

I'd also like to recommend Smile Removals. We used their packing and moving service and they did a great job. The guys on site were really nice and polite. All our stuff arrived well wrapped and intact at the other end. Very competitive price as well. Definitely recommend.

I'd like to recommend Roberts & Denny's. They moved us a couple of weeks ago and were brilliant. Really reasonably priced and were very polite, helpful and reassuring. So please to have one less thing to worry about when you're moving home! Will definitely use them if I can ever face moving home again. http://www.helpusmove.co.uk/ 020 7635 5332

Hi,

Just wanted to put in another recommendation for Roberts and Denny's removals. They moved us yesterday and they were polite, efficient, tireless? totally value for money.

They arrived at 8.15 and worked until about 3.30 almost non-stop. They packed up our last bits and pieces that we hadn't quite got to, carried everything up 3 flights of stairs on the other end, dismantled stuff that couldn't fit and reassembled it again in its new destination. They were very careful with walls/floors/fragile items, and checked that each item went to the right room in our new place. They had to negotiate awkward parking, shed doors that wouldn't open, and several other problems - managed everything very calmly and professionally.

No complaints at all and would be very happy to recommend them.

Needed removal company to move my daughter to her student accommodation in Bournemouth, for a reasonable price! Tried ExtraMile in Forest Hill on the recommendation of a friend. Earl was brilliant, friendly, really helpful, even though daughter was still trying to pack stuff when he arrived His prices were more competitive than Harradine. Had to wait around quite bit the other end but he didn't complain or charge us extra for the waiting. Happy to recommend. www.extramilevans.co.uk

I had to move some stuff out and I also spoke to Earl at ExtraMile. Everything was set for a Saturday move, but I needed more time and packing materials and he was flexible enough to re-arrange the times and dates. Once he turned up for the move he was also able to advise me on the amount of space I needed at the storage company which saved me some money. I have no hesitation in recommending him (www.extramilevans.co.uk)

I just wanted to express an excellent recommendation for Sussex Removals.

My friend moved recently and hired Sussex Removals. He is very happy with the service that he got and his next move will be with them too! They provide all services needed when moving. You can have storage as well if you need one. My friend needed and it was very comfortable and secure. He got his things back the same way they were before sending them out. Nothing damaged. They have sturdy boxes as well.

Hope that helps. Good luck :)

    • The BBC is one of the finest, if not the finest, broadcasters in the world.  They have been admired by many across the world for their journalism.  There have been numerous arrests since their recent expose on convenience shops that cover ups for criminals - money laundering, contraband,  illegal workers and the like. By no means perfect and some of what they have done in the modern world is questionable - the website often comes across as tabloid or sensationalist, as do some of their documentaries, and at times it is full of low grade game shows, fly on the wall etc which bring the punters and money, including overseas, in but is not quality TV.  In their desperation for 'balance' they've given too much air time and credibility to some more extreme views, which contributed to Brexit and some of the rise in right wing parties.  I wish they'd say 'the convicted criminal' every time they talk about Yaxley Lenon. The programme was clumsy, why it didn't go through proper clearance including the lawyers, I don't know.  But it created zero stir at the time. Zero.  And had no impact on the election, so Trump has no case.  I hope they don't cave in like many of the US corporations and media.  Oh and well done to South Park using the small p*nis defence in ridiculing him. What I expect is as the Beeb is pretty centrist in it;s reporting in riles some of those who thrive on the toxic populism we have seen since Trump mark 1 and Brexit.  How sad.
    • I understand from Pao that they are taking a short break but will be re-opening on Tuesday 25th November and also that there will be a sign in the window tomorrow, by way of confirmation. Meanwhile, greatly  missed!
