BrandNewGuy
It's maybe interesting that three of the four winners are not recent arrivals. Cedges
IS the dog actually closed? I got an email from them a couple of days ago encouraging me to book their festive menu...bit odd! tfwsoll
It's interesting that the winner and runner up in the 'cafe or coffee shop' don't serve particularly good coffee! Jah Lush
Which is odd, coz it's in Nunhead. And The Dog's been shut since the end of September. njc97
tfwsoll - but where in Dulwich does do good coffee? (nearest places I can think of are Bambuni and Anderson in Nunhead/Peckham).Jah Lush - I think Nunhead was lumped in with Peckham, much as Deptford and New Cross were together, and bizarrely, Blackheath and Brockley were. Blue Mountain's is singularly unimpressive to be the winner in the category. Guess I'll just have to stick to Nunhead and Peckham. My current top tip is Lerryn's at the bottom of Rye Lane - gorgeous. I guess they couldn't have a separate category for every London area, it would be totally unmanageable :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/51317-time-outs-local-award-winners-in-se22-se21/#findComment-797599 Share on other sites

tfwsoll
Njc97 and KikiMac -Best coffee in East Dulwich is at Toast. La Scala has good Italian Illy coffee. My morning haunt is usually FCB at Denmark Hill Station - speciality coffee locally roasted at Volcano Coffee Works. Must check our Lerryn's. njc97
tfwsoll - I like FCB's espressos although I had one of the worst americanos ever there. Bambuni in nunhead uses Volcano beans as well. I've only had toasted's once and wasnt especially impressed.I want to try Lerryn's. Otherwise mousetail by Peckham library are good. But my regular haunt is Alchemy by City Thameslink station. mmmm. Jeremy
Well... it IS undisputable that they are Time Out's winners. I don't see anyone claiming that they're everyone's favourite.
