That's what I am trying to do, meanie(!)

My partner and I LOVE backgammon! We often play our own little championships, very professionally with the doubling dice and everything! heee hee. I have a baby on the way (due in 8 weeks) so we will hopefully have a new contender in the arena soon!
I'm interested - let me know which day you decide on and what time. I hope you play the rules that says no more than 5 on a point. Some people play that you can have unlimited numbers, yeuch. Oh and I've got a board

Backgammon 17th Feb the magnolia!!!!

Great, looks like we are getting quite a few interested people now... so just hoping 17th is good for the majority

if we meet at 8.30 should give people time to eat or get kids sorted or what ever... so I hope that's Ok with everyone

will put details on the What's On section and PM all who have shown interst... but until then...put it in your diaries!:))

Bring boards/sets if you have one....

    • Yes, the appointments were scheduled for every ten minutes. And there is no waiting area at all this time  (sometimes for medical checks there they have a very small area inside with 3 or 4 seats). You have to sit on the steps up to the van if you are early,  which isn't pleasant in very hot sun or pouring rain, or else wander round Asda. It's one in, one out. I don't know what happens if you are late, but I doubt they would hold up everybody who came after you in order to fit you in.  There was someone immediately before me and someone immediately after me.
    • NHS subcontractors frequently use supermarket parking areas for CT and other screening. Easy to get to and park. They've done the same at Dog Kennel Hill in the past. Makes a lot of sense. And they ram in lots of timed appointments, so time critical is precisely right.
    • Your evidence for this ridiculous remark is what, exactly? You're on a roll today, aren't you?
    • There is an NHS van in the Asda car park which is a local centre for lung cancer screenings. I'm an ex smoker (haven't smoked for decades but still at risk). My appointment was at 2pm. Any other sarcastic comments? Do feel free 🙄
