Nonsense. It's the one day in the year when we should be able to celebrate being English. And I for one feel that we should have a bank holiday to be able to celebrate all that is good in our country without getting all jingoistic about it.

Happy St George's Day everyone. Although there were times this weekend when I felt thoroughly ashamed to be English! The groups on lads on stag weekends in Amsterdam were embarrassing. Was very glad my cousin lived there and took up to places the tourists don't know about! ;-)
