To all the people not noticing the aircraft noises on their way to Heathrow, today is easterly winds (which is sadly very rare), open your window and have a listen. Can't you make any difference when airplanes land from the other side of London ??? So nice and quiet :-) Please Boris Johnson, open your Estuary Airport, and let's forget about this Worst-Possible-Located-Heathrow Airport !

In your opinion. I disagree.

You could use this argument to say that because there's a street outside your house and you take a taxi twice a year then you can't object to anyone turning your street into an 8 lane motorway. Except that you get far more of a say if the govt did that relative to them changing flight paths or increasing aircraft numbers.

you can't just say "it's a city, get over it". The noise is particularly bad here as we are directly under the flight path into heathrow. In other parts of London the noise is not nearly as bad. Even just down in Dulwich village or along in herne hill the noise is less. It would be nice if the flight path could be varied slightly at times.

This discussion has been done to death on another thread though.

I can't even hear the planes overhead - I can see them but too much other

noise to hear them. Buses are the biggest noise - they seem to be designed to

push noise upwards.

Luckily not a family - so just accept it. I wouldn't live where I live with

children.
