Quite Alan, who cares indeed. It doesn't really matter.

But if posters are being 'cornered' as suggested above then that does matter. It might be easy to spew bile and accusations when anonymous, but so too it is easy to keep on at a poster until they cave in. What is often described as bullying on forums is more a case of soemone having to have the last word. If you then have several people having to have the last word, then it gets quite messy. It should be enough to express a view and be ok about others expressing a different view, without a need to keep emphasising the point. Tone also plays a part, as well as written styles of expression. It's so easy to form the wrong impression of someone, and of what they are trying to say.

I can see when long established names take one person to task it can seem cliquey, but it really isn't.

In my experience it's a consensus that someone is wrong and the someone in questioning not knowing when to either say 'whoops my bad' or when to shut the hell up.

If you quack like a duck, the whole world is telling you you're a duck, but you insist through your orange beak and by stamping your cute little webbed feet that you're not a duck, that doesn't make the world cliquey ;)

it can be what you want it to be, I'm really not bothered at all in getting involved in a debate in the sort of pointless rubbish (including mine) that this type of thread results in. Tis' all pooterish and laughable in my opinion.

So you're one of the perceived clique, you're joining in simply to dismiss the discussion, and at the same time you refuse to be called to account.

Oh. Someone fetch Louisa...

Called to account for what?! Does it really matter who is in a clique and who isn't?

Why do you feel the need to make such a deal out of something that isn't of major importance?

Or you've never actually shown anyone to be wrong. To be fair you'd need to be in the same room with a couple of other people at the same time in order to prove it for sure, and that's never gonna happen so we all just have to take your word for it, or not.

For my part I don't really care, but the fact remains that whether by coincidence or not, your posts are similar in style to a previous poster or two. I'm not accusing you of anything, I am just explaining why people jumped to that copnclusion, and saying that I did wonder myself. But I won't lose sleep either way.

I do remain convinced that DJKQ and Pokertime are the same person though, whether you are them or not.

What Mockney said, 100%!

see, easy to do.

davis strikes me as a persona rather than a person, no offence davis, which usually rings alarm bells, but I've been wrong so often it's almost a habit!

talking of habits, do we have forum catechisms now? someone should write them down!!!

Question 1:

Are you part of the clique?

There is only one Admin, he is the clique, we are all part of his clique.

    • No denying that Labour's first year or so has disappointed those of us who wanted major change.  But this demonising of the man is just ridiculous.  There have been some good things, but drowned out by this insentient right wing driven media hatred.  The same right wing media that loves Johnson and FaaReg (I think I've at last hit on getting the pronounciation right). A good example today - John Crace reports: That done [reference to Trump] , Starmer could move on. Britain had offered its full support to the peace process. Had worked tirelessly behind the scenes, with no need of recognition. Because it was our job. Recognising a Palestinian state had allowed other Arab nations to condemn Hamas. And we knew a thing or two about decommissioning weapons from the Good Friday agreement. But it was going to be a long haul. (maybe a rosy look, but nice to see something positive) A positive view on our position in the world and a player on the peace deal (albeit too late for many in Gaza) Here's GB news: Suella Braverman says she is 'ashamed to be British' after Keir Starmer’s 'humiliation on world stage' HTF can Braverman lecture anyone? Mail: Will Keir Starmer EVER recover from his viral humiliation by Trump in front of world? PM's efforts to bask in Gaza peace deal spectacularly backfire And slightly earlier in the Times: Starmer ‘duped voters’ and five more claims in explosive new book.  In this case the left sharpening their knives - perhaps they could go back to Corbyn's time as Labour leader.
    • This is one of the most stupid arguments used by all the far-right war criminal supporters to justify the unjustifiable. I can only advise you to study what defines a genocide, maybe you’ll learn a thing or two. Perhaps, you should also read about the great (Jewish) scholars Omer Bartov and Amos Goldberg who both (among others prominent intellectuals) concluded that Israel was committing a genocide. At least, they can’t be accused of antisemitism, I suppose.
    • I am a big fan of Blue Brick..possibly my favourite local cafe for lunch..
    • Love Blue Brick and have had some lovely meals there,, never had a problem with service, always so accommodating.. Try and support local business, as much as I can.. on a recent visit, clapped my hands that Gail’s was done.. pity, as staff were great at the start, just went down hill …. Be, nice not to see another eateries..chain..  all for supporting individuals.
