Well done Mike, there's your ten bob. I'll make it up to a pound note if you promise me you didn't have to Google it.

I'll leave the hair ruffling if you don't mind, not that it doesn't look great on you, but that Stu Stu Studioline 'product' has brought me out in hives in the past.

I know you'll understand.

My sister's work in hospital was arranging for the surgical removal of these items, from people who regretted their

initial wreckless decision.

I once considered having one when I was at school, as other guys were having them on their hands and arms.

My mother said "well your father would not have a mark that the police could identify him by".

It was the right thing to say as I dropped the whole thing and went off to school with this little gem and worked it

into a 'chance' conversation, tattoo sales declined thereafter.

Just as it should be Mike. He was both a an actor and a star. When star meant something.

There's a story about the Herman Wouk 'Winds Of War' (I think that's what it was called) TV series that he appered in, when RM was asked a question in an interview about it, he apparently gave his interlocutor a bit of a look from 'those eyes' and informed him that it didn't stipulate in his contract that he actually had to watch the programme, so he wouldn't be able to assist him in his query.

There was only one Robert Mitchum mould and it got smashed sharpish.

This guy sounds quite promising. Where can I find him?

    • Certainly the infamous (and mythical) SE London cat killer turned out to be foxes attacking dying and dead cats injured by cars, but fox: cat encounters do appear to happen, even where cats are victorious. Fox: adult humans less so. At least where foxes are the aggressors.
    • That was very kind of you to take the cat to the vet. Did the car not stop?
    • This is a bit outside our area, but I'm posting in case .... Last night (Sat.20 Dec), around 10.30, we saw a cat hit by a car in St Norbert Road, SE4.  We took him to the out of hours vet in Beckenham, where they confirmed that he had died.  They will see if he is microchipped, and contact the owner if so.  They were very kind.   He was a lovely cat, grey and white.  He must have died very quickly.  So sorry to be the bearer of bad news 😞 The vet is Medivet in Beckenham, tel: 0208 650 2003.
    • Watching my cats over the years with foxes, I've found that foxes have totally ignored them. One exception was when a young fox hadn't seen my cat and found himself eye to eye with my cat at a distance of 1 metre. There was a stand off but the fox blinked first and my cat chased him out of the garden. So proud of her. I believe when foxes have attacked cats, the cat has been vulnerable  - old, young, ill wounded.
