Just wondering if anyone else has been having a problem with their post recently? I've had several items that have not turned up including a film from Lovefilm, a contract for my new job and my car insurance. I've just spoken to the postman and he doesn't understand why. I guess I'll have to pop into the Silvester Road post office.

I was having problems with non-delivered love-films just before xmas.

All back to normal now - but haven't had any post for the last wfew days though.

make sure you report it via the love film website and fill out the royal mail claim forms they send you (assuming they get delivered!)

Yes, they are truly awful. Think it's the reserve postmen though that are at fault. We have a lazy reserve postie who dumps my whole building's mail through my letter box making me the second reserve postie. Anyway, had enough, called up on following number 08456112448. Filed a complaint and it seems to have improved, though don't know if that's to do with the main man returning from wherever.
If it's a big parcel/just too big for the letterbox and doesn't need a signature they sometimes put it on the doorstep so I come home and my parcel is leaning up against the door in full view of the road... Amazon parcels have gone missing but luckily the majority are still there when I get home at 7 - thankfully people must be honest on our road...
Just to have a moan about the post office. I received a red slip from them the other week saying a package was too big to go through the letter box. Went down to Silvester Road on Saturday morning to pick it up and got in the queue, and this thing turned out to be the smallest package I have ever seen in my life. Probably smaller than a ring box. And it turned out to be junk mail just to top it off. Aaaaaahhhhhhhh...

    • I haven't been swimming at Dulwich Leisure for years, and since they reopened including a new website, it seems impossible to book a swim. Has anyone cracked it? I'm not a gym member there, so you'd think their swim timetable was fully viewable, but it isn't. You sort of have to make a guess about exactly which day, time and type of swim, (e.g forcing you to decide whether to click on medium lane 45 or slow lane 60 - madness) before you've even found out if there's any slots generally? And then if you do see a Space Available, by the time you click forward, it then always says 'Fully Booked'. No joke, I've been trying and failing for weeks. If you email Southwark Leisure they don't reply. If you call Dulwich Leisure Centre there's no human to answer the phone (and it says voicemail is full). What the --? Do Southwark want us to be healthy or not? Seems madness to me that we leave on Crystal Palace Road yet we have to go to Forest Hill Pools to swim. If anyone's cracked it please do shout
    • Yeah, unfortunately it gets booked up quickly, so you need to get onto the booking system well in advance. If there is no option, it's because there is some other event like a swim class on.
    • I have a number of bags of womens and baby clothes as well as some household items and furniture. I'd love someone to collect and / or sell on ebay - please PM to discuss
