While I realised that this was probably the case it didn't for a moment make me feel that I shouldn't correct you.

Depends what the petition was - if it was in a petition looking to support better education (ie one I agree with) then yeah of course I would correct them - they look silly

Ifit was a petition to stop spelling nazis (which I mostly agree with) then no I wouldn't - I would assume it was ironic

Typo = fine

Can't spell = fair enough

Can spell but are too lazy to correct? = hmmmmmmm

Wow, Tony, that was actually quite spiteful. Are you having a bad day? Would you have preferred it if I had not said I liked David? I am sorry if I offended you by doing so, I have no bone to pick with you here.

All I'm asking Dear Moos is that you :

Take me under your wing,

be my mother, my sister.

Take my head to your breast,

my banished prayers to your nest.

One merciful twilight hour,

hear my pain, bend your head........

Just for one merciful hour I would like to be at the heart, the nucleus, the very epi-centre of this Universe...thats not to much for a Man to ask, schurely?::o

At the drinky-poos?

Great idea but I only have to conduct my Business on Friday Nights and much of Saturday and the rest of the week is mine.

The drinks are rightly on a Friday as thats by far the most convenient day so "C'est La Vie"...

Moos I like you.

You are a clever, witty Forumite.

Its just that as I highlighted Sir David's derogatory comments addressed to me and you then joined in to say how much you liked david then I thought you were havin' a pop at yer old M8 Tony Boy:))....you can see the "logic" behind my view!

However as I'm wrong I'm sorry!

"Bad Day"..No! Really the opposite.

My Jamaican Ladyfriend has returned to stay with me for 2/3 of the week on a regular basis and my Business and her seperate business are both going better.

I've got to make an enormous decision by 1/3/09 so thats playing on my mind for sure at the moment and I don't know exactly what will be decided.

So:)-D

Ah it makes sense now, so you believe his comments about you were derogatory, therefore the comments

...david should get a life

...he is a pedant, snob, displays a sneering superciliousness and superior air by writing this.

...the hallmark of rather an unpleasant character

were actually your comments about him. That's just rude.

I've said all that needs to be said Mark but its refreshing in a World where ill feeling can sometimes prevail that if someone made, what you perceived as, "derogatory" comments to you or your loved ones that you would not reply, in kind.

Thats an admirable quality and I for one applaud you.(tu)

You are truly a Saint and I, for one, am defintely not worthy!

p.s. Thanks, for giving this badinage a little "stir" for the second time.

Appreciated by all parties, I'm sure.(tu)

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
