This is the first time this has happened. I arrive at work this morning and I find a note from one of the skid steer driver saying "I'm being bullied, please help me". I have an idea as to who the culprit but I was wondering if any of you had experience of dealing with this sort of thing as on a building site it's a bit of a grey area with the 'hit em back harder mentality. Your advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

When In Rome BBW.

You are not in a pleasant, air-conditioned Office where people will, usually, talk rationally and reasonablyabout such matters.

In this instance, I would suggest, trying to, discreetly, find out who the culprit is and ensuring someone has a word in his shell-like.

If this doesn't work make sure he gets a slap, that shoud quieten the bully down.

Yes it was meant for me Woof. It was tucked into my report folder. It's all resolved now and we've moved the bully to another site.

When I was working at the old Home office at Queen Annes gate (I was working for Keltbray doing a gut out) we had a young lad who was being viciously picked on by a rather large Scaffolder. It revolved around the kid being a bit fat. Instead of making a formal complaint he took matters into his own hands. one day it got too much and he ran out of the canteen crying after being ribbed by this arsehole. He came back about 15 minutes and ordered a cheeseburger with extra cheese. He then went to the microwave and nuked his snack. He then removed the top bun, calmly walked past the Scaffolder in question and on passing plonked the burger cheese down on the bullys bald head. The screams curdled the air as the cheese in question was molten.

Of course it bloody well was!!! It was to comemorate my services to Southwark council against the Foxes as they are a menace but I'm getting on top of them now and they kick up to me.

    • Useful link, thanks. I see that neither of the Dulwich Hill councillors are standing again but one of the new Labour candidates for DH recently left the Lib Dems… The Greens are led by someone who left the Lib Dems and full of people who left Labour. Reform is full of those who left the Tories. And the Tories are full of those who left our planet some time ago. Confused? You will be!
    • I'm sorry to learn that though Liam does seems well qualified. Hopefully with McAsh gone, Southwark Labour will turn to Charlie to fill the gap.
    • As I understand it Charlie Smith did put himself forward for selection in GG but Labour members chose someone else to represent them, Liam McGrath https://southwarklabour.com/our-candidates/   It'll be interesting to see if there are other defections - surely the Greens want a drip, drip, drip of news from now to May suggesting the momentum is with them.
    • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
