Hi

I just wanted to recommend Dave from "Down the Drain" based in SE23 who sorted out a rather unpleasant problem with our drains/sewers yesterday. A very nice guy to deal with - straight forward and reasonably priced. His number is 0208 314 5244,

Regards Jonty

Another recommendation for Dave of 'Down the Drain' following work done to ours last week.

We had a nasty problem caused by the previous owners poor alteration to the drainage.

It required digging up and replacing of pipes, all done efficiently following a quick response to my initial call (he came round within a couple of hours of calling on a Saturday).

He also provided some appreciated advice on future works we plan to have done, and showed me the camera footage of the cleared drains.

Thanks

Definitely recommend Dave from Down the Drain He fixed a problem in our flat, blocked sink and awful piping underneath, quickly and for less than quoted. He is also coming back to do another job for me at my office.

Great service, zero hassle - what's not to like!

I can also recommend Dave - he and Tony fixed a broken gully pot at the back of our house. The old clay pot had probably cracked with frost and water was leaking into the soil. They excavated the pipe, checked for further damage and then repaired it with new plastic piping. Job was completed neatly and under time estimate.

I am recommending Dave again as he has come to our office and gone over and above the call of duty in trying to get to the bottom of a long long standing issue with one of the toilets.

Always very clear and informative.

Will be using gain for sure.

I just had Dave from Down the Drain round to look at my drains as I thought they smelt bad (got the recommendation from here). He came round promptly and on time and was really helpful - turned out that they werent blocked and all I needed to do was plunge the sink. Will definitely use him again.

Lovely man. Came out at a time that suited to look over an issue at no cost and then came back at another great time to investigate. Never thought watching a DVD of my drains would be so interesting! Anyway, fair pricing, honest assessment and reliable.

Recommended.

I would also like to recommend Down The Drain.

We had a simple, but annoying, blocked drain. I called the DTD team on Saturday morning. They were over in no time and quickly fixed the issue, and importantly for me, explained everything clearly so I knew what the problem was.

Would recommend to all ED ppl who have drainage problems!

Another recommendation for Dave. Our main waste pipe was broken as it went into the ground. He explained everything clearly that needed to be done and completed the work promptly and left everything tidy. Also took the time to have a look and give advice on our sink which is slow to drain. Would definitely use him again.
I would also be pleased to recommend Dave. He sorted out our blocked outdoor gully quickly and with minimal fuss. He called me when he was on his way which I really appreciated and turned up on time. Dave took the time to explain the blockage problem and I would be more than happy to call on his services again.

Another shout out for Dave and Down the Drain - he saved me a lot of work and bother this morning clearing a blocked drain. He arrived when promised and sorted the problem in five minutes. Recommended. http://down-the-drain.co.uk/
And another! Dave came out during the xmas break to sort a leaking pipe in my Mum's kitchen, cleared up all the water and mess and made some excellent suggestions about replacement taps for older people too! He's a star. down-the-drain.co.uk

Joining the list here! Had Dave round today to fix my broken soil pipe that had cracked at ground level so it involved a fair amount of excavation. Finished result is great and he even upgraded our drainage to stop it blocking with leaves, very happy with his work. Great communication leading up to the job, quick and left the house as tidy as possible. Would certainly use in the future

I've called Dave out on a couple of occasions and have always found him friendly, reasonably priced and quick to sort out the problem and give me advice on how to avoid it in future (potentially doing himself out of future work!). Happy to add to the recommendations.

    • Counterpoint: there was zero misrepresentation of truth    never mind the bbc or the uk (for now)-  his own country and government impeached him for trying to overturn an election.  What happened was unforgivable. Trump adding a few “non violent”’ legally wise words absolves him of nothing  but back to bbc and uk.  They were correct and now we have Trump threatening to sue for a billion have English people lost all self-respect (that question was answers 9 years ago and is repeated almost daily)
    • Point is.. top two have quit.. BBC is now what? From being well respected world wide.. not only for news, programs, no idea about pod casts.. Only thing we as a country do well currently is broadcast remembrance service…. Lets face it.. only country that I know of who can release wrong people from jail.. one gave himself up if news is to believed and the other is where? Only country I know of who actually pay people to leave, flights etc and they are back in country .. all heard via Radio 4…
    • It doesn't matter what channel it was on, how pernicious the subject is and when it happened. Mis-representing the truth in broadcast is not only morally wrong, it's against the OFCOM code of ethics.  Everyone in the industry is trained in how not to do it, most are made to take the BBC's own 'Safeguarding the Trust' course, even if they aren't making BBC programmes.  There wasn't much fuss at the time, because no one knew about it.  "Unless you hate Britain, hate liberals, hate the BBC, want a divided country, support the most powerful person in the world despite his many failings". What the programme makers personally think or feel should never affect how they tell a story; to do so is deeply unprofessional and a sackable offence.  It's the job of the BBC and of all programming to inform viewers of the facts and let them make up their own minds. Even in campaigning documentaries.
