I also recommend Gary (Vu). Recently replaced my bathroom light and all the outside lights ready for winter. Fast, friendly, efficient, reliable, and all at a great price.

I too rang Glen and said my fridge freezer was making lots of noise and that the freezer was not very cold! He came round the next day and immediately said that the noise meant that the appliance was beyond repair. ?70 for two minutes. Doesn?t get much worse than that!

Dave came round to unblock our kitchen gulley last week, was on time, efficient and friendly, job done with no fuss. Deodorised the area afterwards, great service. Price is very good too. Highly recommend Dave from ?Down The Drain?.

Try the Clear Ear Clinic (clearearclinic.com). Not cheap, but you will have super hearing within five minutes, no fiddling about with drops and syringing! You can probably get an appointment the same day. This method puts nothing in the ear, just takes everything out. Painless apart from the price.

A definite thumbs up for Niko. He has come to our rescue on several occasions, and done a complete and professional job for a reasonable rate each time. Without, repeat, without asking for a recommendation. And if he did, I would; isn?t that how these things work (21st Century don?t you know?). Why is this thread titled ?Niko the plumber ? thumbs down!?, when having a quick rec it seems that there are about six times as many ?thumbs up? posts than ?thumbs down?, and then a fair few moaning about Niko not getting back in touch? It?s basically moaning about someone working so very hard, that he finds it difficult to get to everyone. Is that such a sin? If only we all held that attitude? It?s pretty well-known that a lack of skilled professionals has left the market open to unscrupulous people, so it goes without saying that recommendation is the best way to find a competent person (Building Regs parlance). The lovely people of ED have such a fantastic resource, it should be appreciated more!! Don?t get me wrong (!) I?m totally for free speech, even when we hear stuff we think is wrong (that word again!). Anyway, at least Niko will have more time to deal with those who appreciate his service, so I?m happy. Can totally recommend Niko. We had a badly leaking shower, so trawled the forum for plumber recommendations...Niko came round the same day, fixed it on the spot. Must say Niko is thorough and even phoned back a few day later to make sure everything was in order. Great service.
