Wasn't there a call for decadence a while ago?

Surely this ennui - not knowing what to post/moan about/celebrate/object to/criticise/abuse/promote or just 'say' - is exactly the kind of decadence that preceded the fall of the Roman Empire.

Keeky is already fiddling but is more Elagabalus than Nero - once the beggars are rounded up to be whipped with hand-rolled taglierini, yummy-mummies and stay-at-home dads fornicate in giant sourdough baps and Fellini's La Dolce Vita opens the ED Cinema we can sit back and watch everything fall majestically to bits.

Salsa, you guessed right - I've got Quids locked up in the bedroom. He's not coming out till those windows are really sparkling.

I've been having a forum break due to being a bit bored with it for a while and busy with work. May still dip in from time to time.

I've seen him socially and strangely he is slagging off the forum. Probably trying to convince me it's shit so I leave and he rejoins. Have you guys put him up to this? Have you paid him.

So when is he coming back? We don't cross paths very often on here but I'm starting to miss him a little bit.

All you had to do was reply to the RSVP ...

See what you miss when you adopt selective reading..

    • The regulator has approved 2nd class deliveries on alternate days, excluding Saturdays. So Monday, Wednesday and Friday on week 1. Tuesday and Thursday on week 2. Don't know when it starts but in theory it will be better than the current haphazard service. Earlier this week I received bills and other items which had been in the post for 2 weeks. Definitely not the fault of the posties.
    • has lost a Bengal cat there was one wandering around Townley Road this morning - I'm assuming it is not the norm for this fellow to be out and about solo but I'm not a cat expert... IMG_5815.heic IMG_5819 2.heic
    • Hi everyone, I'm Gen, a catsitter based in Sydenham - if you're away this summer and need some care for your pets, please do consider me!  I can typically cover Sydenham, Forest Hill, Penge, Anerley, Crystal Palace, East Dulwich and parts of Peckham. If it's outside those areas, it still might be worth messaging me to see if I can help. I'm registered with Cat in a Flat, with flawless reviews – I'm happy to accept clients through there, or just directly (you can just DM me on the forum here) - whichever you're more comfortable with. I've been catsitting for a few years, and also used to volunteer for Celia Hammond. Here's my profile https://catinaflat.co.uk/pet-sitter/377081 Ping me a message if you need help or have any questions!
    • And we humans bear a lot of responsibility for creating the conditions that brought foxes into urban settings. I certainly don't regard them as pests - they are noisy little criminals, but I'm very fond of them (we have huge numbers of them in my area - I rescued a lost baby fox earlier this year). However, there are pest control companies that use humane methods to deter them and redirect them to different territories (a friend of mine works for one, but sadly for OP, I don't think this is in their catchment area).
