I'm as old as me tongue and younger than me teeth thank you very much.

Think Dolly Earneshaw, the companion of Viz's Mrs Brady for th' accent.

Not that she's any sort of accent to speak of, what with her being a comic strip character and all and no more more real than that Johnny Vegas or Robert Kilroy-Silk.

Where was I? I'm all of a doo-dah, but I know this much, kids today, they don't know they're bloody born.

They don't.

And you can stop starting your ruddy cheek, Brendan. I KNOW YOUR MAM! She shall hear of this.

You know perfectly well that Mott The Hoople were formed out of the group Silence and named and produced by Guy Stevens in 1969. So less of your lip young feller-me-lad.

You're getting one of my looks as we speak.

Now, be told.

Interesting, that when someone has an opinion that isn't your own they automatically become trolls now... Jezus I can hear the hob-nailed footsteps of the whole of East Dulwich, nay London, ney the world now as we must all be trolls for disagreeing with someone, somewhere

Ms. Sensei, 0/10 for being so sensitive when someone publicly tells you they aren't interested in discussing something after you have left a loaded question to be answered. Perhaps YOU are trying to deflect the accusation of TROLL that could be leveled at your hob-nailed boots for starting the discussion about Mr Fry?

So did he get rid of you then Shu ???

You keep on trying to deflect it back onto me which so obviously makes it your problem not mine, still if you want to keep on flaming me then go ahead, I don't mind because you don't matter. Remember a troll is someone who keeps on going off thread or discussion to disrupt a thread, and your posting of Spiderman done only in body paint is a clear cut example of troll like behaviour.

Personally I think "Leave it alone" is the best advice I can offer you after that and previous postings.

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
    • That was one that the BBC seem to have lost track of.  But they do still have quite a few. These are some in their 60s archive. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0028zp6
