rahrahrah your constant banging on about other people's opinions, just because they happen to be different to your own are pretty damn tiresome too. I could easily throw that yawn right back at you. Get over it. Some people like to hold local business to account for the right reasons rather than saying everything is lovely and cuddly just for the sake of it. That's life. Sensible critique keeps everyone on their toes.

Oh, do get over yourself! Please.

Just because you are on school holidays, doesn't excuse your irritating behaviour.

School holidays? Erm slightly confused by this comment. Get over myself? I'm merely defending myself against people claiming I am deliberately negative about new businesses, which is not the case. I would like more variety in the local restaurant scene, is that a crime? We currently lack a Mexican or Greek place of any description. As for the Chinese restaurant choices they are definitely way back in the 70s still. Your comment is suggesting I am not allowed to be critical of the ED sacred cow that is the restaurant scene, correct?

Utter nonsense another case of selective reading looking for Foxy & Louisa posts to sneer at..

Did you miss this one ?

When it was Andreas's it was a Greek shop and was owned by relatives of a guy I used to work with in Telecoms.

It is a great place and is indeed a rare example of a LL business actually flogging decent stuff.

Very helpful and friendly and unpretentious.

P.S. Bet no one comments on Foxy being positive.

Just one of many Foxy's positive posts. Like the ones on various Indian outlets, Dulwich DIY, SMBS,

Hisar, Clipper, Iceland...

DulwichFox.

P.S I get good service in other ED outlets but do not feel the need get hysterical and post here

every time I buy a cake, loaf of bread or cup of coffee.

1) it appears they are doing very well at the prices they are charging - hence their expansion to date

2) they'd be wrong to change a winning formula/price point

Arhh.. Nail on the head... I think.

If Franco Manca can make it work charging low, reasonable, realistic prices.

Then the suggestion that other businesses are having to charge over the top to cover rents

by unscrupulous landlords does not hold water.

You cant have it both ways..

I rest my case .

I have never slagged off this place.

I have only ever spoke about my dislike of Pizza and its nutritional values.

Even before it had opened I commented on the place being the best transformation of any outlet in E.D.

So give Foxy a break..

    • Is Dell Autos closing down completely or just moving? For whatever it's worth, for MOTs I've had good recent experience with The Test Centre in Deptford. They only do MOTs so they don't have any particular incentive to fail you and they usually have same day appointments. Open 7 days a week and late. https://www.thetestcentre.co.uk/our-test-centres/deptford-branch/ Obviously you would still need a "normal" garage to do servicing and repairs etc.
    • So what is the issue? You want compensation for the loss of value, or you want to expedite the matter?
    • No. What happened? I actually thought, considering it was what we used to call Guy Fawkes Day last night, the loud noises from  fireworks ended remarkably early. About 9pm? Maybe I just fell asleep and didn't hear any later ones. Do people actually burn Guys any more? Apart from at places like Lewes, where I believe they still have Bonfire Societies and burn effigies of various political figures etc.
    • The accompaniment to our "Christmas Pudding" aka Nothing-Whatever-Like-A- Christmas-Pudding last year  at The Cherry Tree was "brandy butter ice-cream." If it had ever been near any brandy, the brandy must have been waved in its direction from a very great distance. Same with butter. The ice cream tasted like bog standard "vanilla" from a catering tub. At least it did bear some resemblance to ice cream. Whereas the "Christmas Pudding" bore no resemblance whatever to any Christmas Pudding I have ever seen or tasted in my many  decades of seeing and tasting Christmas Puddings. Oh, and Cinzano Bianco. Bleurgh. My sister used to drink that. 🤢
