Looking for fun non-cliche activities for a hen party - art/crafts etc

Hello all, I'm looking into fun, relatively cheap activities for a hen do (my own) in the daytime. This isn't for a cliched hen, no pant decorating or pink rubbish thank you and we won't be pissed (these are the assumptions of everyone else I've contacted so far!).

Crafty things would be welcome and I'm open to suggestion for other ideas. In my day-job I'm a scientist and I'm really into unusual sports (kung fu, kayaking etc), lots of different music and I love arty/crafty activities.

We currently have hula hooping on the cards and I'm also looking for a cheap hall to hire to house that if anyone knows of anywhere?

You could try renting the scout hut on Bellenden road. My friend does workshops making fabric brooches, she did my birthday party and it was good fun

A bit further away in Kings Cross but they do great Hen's Parties!
