carpet shop recomendation?

Hi am looking to purchase a good qaulity carpet for my mothers hallway. can anyone recomend a shop in the ED area that won't rip you off and has good fitters?

I would highly recommend Carpet Corner in Penge. It's right opposite HomeBase, great service and good price.

Nunhead carpets and EJ carpets in forest hill were both very good when I used them. EJ had a larger choice but Nunhead made up for their smaller choice with excellent service.

I would recommend EJ carpets too, very helpful - they came and measured my hall even though I hadn't yet bought a carpet.

Lordship lane Carpets approached initially re stair carpet - they were not helpful and when I queried the price they were quoting per metre, they really did not want to know. Complete opposite at E J carpets who advised on the carpets which came in various widths ( less wastage). measured, ordered and waited till we had finished decorating before delivering and fitting. Excellent service and reasonable price (about ?30 per metre cheaper than LL)
