All the usual things really. Walk/jog/run in the park. Swimming/leisure centre. Lots of cafes/restaurants/bars. Adult learning and creative courses at the Thomas Calton Centre. Maybe look into some volunteering opportunities.

Southbank - and central London - are just a short journey away. As is Greenwich. Plenty to do if you can be bothered.

The Charity Shop near the Palmerston is looking for someone..

This is a Full-Time paid job 36 hours @ 13k pa. though a job share is also an option.

You could go and see Tony's Last Tapes at the Bridge House Theatre at the Bridge House Tavern in Penge. It has just transferred from Nottingham and previewed last night. Philip Bretherton (Alastair in As Time Goes By) plays the part of Tony Benn brilliantly.

Work is the curse of the drinking classes. Go to the pub. Any pub. Take a book. They can be a bit quiet during the day in the week. The weather is lovely so you can sit outside with your drink in the sun. You might even make new friends.
