mynamehere
I shall tear off my mask: I'm asking for a shy friend! I suggested s/he check his/her fuse box.So I agree with you all. Next stop is going over to their house and just doing all the obvious checks myself.loads of bright red blushes Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/57559-tv-blackout-around-goose-green-and-north/#findComment-842566 Share on other sites
maxxi
That's not a tv, that's a microwave. One thing to check (my Mother did this recently) is whether the remote has an analogue/digital button. My Mother's Sony (sounds like a line from a French language book) has one of these which she pressed in error. Until it is pressed again all is darkness. robbin
That's a good tip - I wouldn't have thought about that analogue/digital thing, but it makes sense. DulwichFox
I'm assuming there is no sound... If it was a fuse/trip in the consumer unit all sockets on that ring would be dead. If it was switched to analogue you might expect a 'Fuzzy' screen and a 'low signal' message DulwichFox Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/57559-tv-blackout-around-goose-green-and-north/#findComment-842583 Share on other sites

Bic Basher
Try an indoor aerial and see if you get any picture. If so, it's a fault with your outdoor/communal aerial.
