He was a prick in the board room, but I think he would have gone anyway. However, that Lorraine has got a face like a slapped arse hasn't she! Very very annoying person, think she'll go soon... In fact, I can't believe I'm saying it, but I think James is probably the only one that I quite like. Wouldn't want to go out drinking with him, but he's quite funny.

So, Mona has gone. She seems like a nice woman, but she didn't seem to bring much flair, creativity, or drive to the tasks. So I can understand why Sir Alan was "struggling to see where she'd fit into the organisation".

But compared to those other people on the team... Debra's a pitbull with zero management ability. James is just a clueless, rambling nitwit. Mona might not have brought much to the table, but surely the others are totally unemployable.

Well summed up. She is a horrific human being!

You're right about James too, but he does make me laugh.

Had the other team gone, I think it may have finally been curtains for that weirdo Lorraine. She would genuinely freak me out I think.

she looks like she was hit in the face with a frying pan as a child, that must be the flattest face i have set eyes on.

    • That explanation sounds highly unlikely!  Surely the "days of the week" plates must be a standard size. I know Royal Mail often appears incompetent, but it  couldn't be that stupid, surely. Was it 1 April?!
    • Looking for a short length of electric (twin & earth)  lighting cable. Most likely there could be some in a skip near you??
    • Southwark's recycling guidance says to put shredded paper in the blue bin in a paper envelope or "small box". I've got far too much of it for that  (confidential stuff going back decades) - thanks to the EDF member who kindly gave me a shredder! It would be a "massive box". I have barely started  the shredding, and I've already got an extremely large bagful.   I've read online that you can put it into  large clear plastic bags in the bin for paper,  provided you  clearly label it "shredded paper" and it is obvious what it is. Does anybody know if Southwark would accept it like that? Alternatively, can anyone make use of it for animal bedding or packaging material or adding to  compost?
    • I'm happy to report that some foxgloves are now looking great in my garden. The bees are loving them. Also managed to grow some corn poppies from seed. I've left some decaying logs in the corner so maybe there are some stag beetles there.
