Is ther such a thing at that age? My son is now toddling around so mostly we use the maclaren but find on outings with stairs like Hampton court palace it is restrictive just having the pram so I have been using the ergo. In theory it works fine as I love he ergo but his patience is running out with not being able to front face. As he has just started walking I am hesitant to invest in the ergo that front faces so any other suggestions? I thought about a backpack carrier but they look big and heavy! Thanks xxx

Getting them on your back on your own can be tricky at first but easy with someone to help you - or a sofa / chair! Its way more comfy to carry them on your back once they're over about 10kg and they can see quite a lot. Front facing carriers ie where the baby faces out aren't great ergonomically for either them or you so I would agree with not buying another carrier capable of this.

Most people do seem to prefer back carriers for older toddlers, but I used a front carrier and preferred it even when my daughter was quite heavy. I had a Wilkinet which ties, no buckles. That was way more comfy for me.

Everyone is different. Have you thought about trying some different styles at a sling library?

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
