I'll be honest, I quite liked the one I started myself basically asking what you would do if you were the boss of Southwark Council or something, and it elicited some really good replies. I started it because people do complain about services and so on around here.

I also liked the one offering a bread machine - because I got it and it's sooo wonderful!

For me the best has been the thread that led to the renovation of our War Memorial.

The most helpful to me was tips on taking a baby on holiday / first flight

...and I remember the local WI got a lot of support initially from a thread to get it up and running
