The misuse of the word 'enormity' (instead of magnitude). Just heard on Radio 4, which means that the man that wrote the book, the BBC producer and the reader (Steven Mangan) are unaware of my pet hate

My Dad regularly saying my Mum is "overtired" when he actually means "tired". Only children get "overtired".

I think you can get overtired as an adult. I kind of get this second wind, but feel a bit manic and wired.

Basically it's a bit like when the class A's start to wear off.

i always think of tired as physical and overtired as when the weird things happen, strange irritablility through moodswings all the way to hallucinations (third hangover without much intervening sleep).

It's just more obvious in children.

That said (and I expect you guessed someone might say this) since I have largely moved to e_reading, it's a thing of the past

I still live the reader at home or work sometimes, but for that journey I can whip out my phone and continue where I left off - that is just too good. Small phone screen not ideal, but for those once off situations it's absolutely fine

Why the hell anyone would want to read a book from a telephone screen is beyond me. The modern world is rubbish.

To be fair to SJ, the phone is only employed on accasions when he's forgotten his actual e-reader.

I don't have one myself, and I love books, but I have tried my wife's kindle, and they are actually nice to read from.
