My son played with his son Lewis from U10 I think. I have some great memories of matches and wins. Wasn't so keen on all the nights spent taking him to training though. You didn't say when your son started playing as if it was as early as U10's they probably played on the same team.As this is the irrational rage thread I'd like to add the behaviour at matches of the parents of some kids who played football. Parkdrive
Lewis and my son are still very good friends, my boy played for only a couple of seasons until he reached 18 and all the lads were rejected by the first team manager. Very political as I recall and as do all the other parents of the group. Alan Medic
One player from my son's era made it to the 1st team. Kalvin Morath Gibbs. Played a few seasons and vanished. I don't know why. Zebedee Tring
The expression "I hear what you say", which really means "I'm right, you're wrong and there's nothing more to be said on the subject". A position often taken by certain posters on this MB. Otta
That made me laugh Steveo. I hate the "boss" thing too, especially when it's young aggressive idiots intimidating a low paid worker in a chicken / kebab shop. Pickle
Here's another gem from a person causing me much rage today"I do fully understand your position and I can see and appreciate the logic of it, but it?s just that I do not agree with you ."If this person had the foresight to provide some kind of counter argument I wouldn't be raging so much, but to just say "I do not agree with you". Zebedee Tring
"No problem" or even worse "No probs" and "No problemo". A few years ago some guy was giving me a quote for insurance over the phone. After every exchange he said "No problem". I then said "Would you please stop saying 'No problem', it's getting on my nerves", to which he replied "OK, no problem". Robert Poste's Child
But the real reason for tonight's visit is to say how irritating it is when fashion writers and shops describe a piece of clothing, or indeed anything at all, as 'luxe', eg 'a luxe sweater'.Makes my stomach positively heave.
