Wivout going into too much uninteresting detail - time wasting = insisting on seeing me, wait all day for appointment (not a prob as this is how it goes), get to appointment for doc not to b particularly interested (im certainly not exaggerating) and says i should go back to a&e... couldve done that in the first place and earlier in the day instead of wasting mine and their time.

Ive always had much respect for the medical profession but recently... *shrugs*

People who wear backpacks or babies then swipe you with them because they couldent be bothered to check if anyone is behind them, or crush you/wap you in the face, in a queue/on a bus with them.

people on bikes who think they can cycle anywhere they like and be rude with it.

People who think they are the only person in the shop/bank/post office who needs attention/serving.

People who think everyone should look out for/entertain their children whilst they shop/quaff wine/be in conversation - in fact anything rather than look after their own kids.

Annoyed/brassed off/lost all desire to be anymore tolerant and pissed on from a great height people like me.

Same with a lot of supermarket fruit. I bought a melon over a fortnight ago that's still sitting on the kitchen windowsill rock hard and smelling of nothing in particular. Bet it gets a soft spot before it's ripe enough to eat at this rate. Never mind the avocados. A mixed salad has a two-week leadtime.
My phone goes quiet in cant hear the radio or music. I look on the screen it says something nanny-ish about it is on too loud and could damage my hearing. WELL I CAN'T FING HEAR IT NOW! Don't phone manufacturers know EVERYONE LOSES A BITS OF HEARING as they get older?

Put it into a bag with a banana for a couple of days. The gases released from the banana will ripen it up. :)

I don't think that's true... "scope" is commonly used in programming but I don't think that the verb form is exclusive to computing.

The thing about jargon is that using a little of it tends to give people the comfort that you know what you're doing (as opposed to a lot, which makes people think you don't know how to turn the theory into action). I use 'to scope' as shorthand for 'to understand and plan the potential scope of' and I think it's OK. Work context only, though, otherwise you sound like a prat.

    • Holding noisy disruptive events in the middle of the public examinations period - GCSE's and A Levels - is not helpful for local children who will likely be stressed already.
    • It's a great suggestion to contact other companies and perhaps get a better quote.   Fancy implying that ONLY those with direct, specific and qualified opinions can post. That would change the entire EDF - with very little responses to any post. You can search online for reviews of secondary glazing and see what customers have said (Trustpilot)
    • That's a great solution, but not really practical for a second floor windowsill! I tried many things, spiky wires sticking out to deter them from landing, the widest cage available (pictured), but they would still descend, scaring off all the small songbirds, cram their heads through the cage and devour all the food. I was metaphorically tearing my hair out so, combined with the worries about spreading disease, I had to call it a day. Very sad.
    • Plus it is pure hypocrisy from the council, who pontificate about cleaner, greener, spaces, but then throw that out of the window for a bit of cash from a disruptive event.  I will raise this with them. I will point out to them that whether their event takes place or not is of as little consequence too 😉 Because they are public servants paid for by our taxes. It's the whole reason FOI exists. We have a right to know certain things.
