'Your presence on our special day will be enough of a gift in itself. However if you do want to get us a wedding present we have a registered gift list at John Lewis full of overpriced tat which we probably don't need and almost certainly won't use'

You can stop reading right there. Turn up, hoover up the food and booze, job done.

I can't think why I failed to notice when you wrote it before.

However, as far as I'm aware there isn't a programme called either Black Hour or Disabled Hour on Radio 4

If there were and they were overusing the word 'support' I might get irrationally ragey

You're right, RPC. I replaced the word 'women' with 'men' and found the whole concept of a 'Men's Hour' on radio 4 to be an entirely stupid and outdated one.

Losing contestants on The Apprentice saying, "Thank you, Lord Sugar" when they've just been fired. Don't bloody thank him, he's just fired you! Tell him he can stick his job up his a*se and f*ck off while he's doing it, then march out of the door.

    • It was a bit of a jump by me from Cyclemonkey seeing a similar presence at London Bridge. Larnaca wouldn't have brought a huge amount of fans, but it was the first time Palace have hosted a competitive European tie. There's the issue of Northern Cyprus and heightened media interest around footy because of the Villa Maccabi game at the moment, so that may have had a bearing on the scale of the operation. It does seem unlikely if it was at four o'clock, though.
