Recommendation for Gardener

Recommended Posts

I recently came on to the forum to look for a new regular gardener and found Mehmet who has came round last week and we were very impressed with him.

He was punctual, knowledgeable about the plants in the garden and offered suggestions on how to make improvements. We asked him to suggest a few plants to fill the gaps in our borders and he has come back to us quickly with suggestions and sourced them online for us to find a good price.

He worked solidly for three hours for a reasonable price and we were happy that the garden looked tidy afterwards depite the heavy rains a few days before having encouraged an abundance of weeks.

We hope he will be our regular fortnightly gardener.

Please pm me with any Qs.

I would definitely recommend Mehmet as a gardener, he is hands-on, fast, thorough and happy to get his hands dirty, unlike some ....

He has a friendly, chirpy manner and it was a joy to have found him. Would recommend him and feel more inspired to carry-out jobs that were always put off until next year .........07910754636 mobile.

I'd also like to recommend Mehmet. He is doing some gardening work for us in Gypsy Hill and really knows his stuff! Is a quick worker and very reasonable. Lovely chap would be happy to leave him to work alone coming and going through the house. Big thumbs up for Mehmet!!! (07910754636)

    • Is Dell Autos closing down completely or just moving? For whatever it's worth, for MOTs I've had good recent experience with The Test Centre in Deptford. They only do MOTs so they don't have any particular incentive to fail you and they usually have same day appointments. Open 7 days a week and late. https://www.thetestcentre.co.uk/our-test-centres/deptford-branch/ Obviously you would still need a "normal" garage to do servicing and repairs etc.
    • So what is the issue? You want compensation for the loss of value, or you want to expedite the matter?
    • No. What happened? I actually thought, considering it was what we used to call Guy Fawkes Day last night, the loud noises from  fireworks ended remarkably early. About 9pm? Maybe I just fell asleep and didn't hear any later ones. Do people actually burn Guys any more? Apart from at places like Lewes, where I believe they still have Bonfire Societies and burn effigies of various political figures etc.
    • The accompaniment to our "Christmas Pudding" aka Nothing-Whatever-Like-A- Christmas-Pudding last year  at The Cherry Tree was "brandy butter ice-cream." If it had ever been near any brandy, the brandy must have been waved in its direction from a very great distance. Same with butter. The ice cream tasted like bog standard "vanilla" from a catering tub. At least it did bear some resemblance to ice cream. Whereas the "Christmas Pudding" bore no resemblance whatever to any Christmas Pudding I have ever seen or tasted in my many  decades of seeing and tasting Christmas Puddings. Oh, and Cinzano Bianco. Bleurgh. My sister used to drink that. 🤢
