so.. can I be Minnie the Minx and Bonnie (in the lovely strong arms of Clyde of course)

*scurries to wardrobe to try and find unusual mix of black and red striped top, plus elegant long black skirt... hhhmm... could create a rather fetching Parisian look, she thinks*

oh yes Quids... thank you so much for your patience on Friday... us girls got into a deep political discussion in the loo

(well not actually in it as such, that would have been rather messy) and time just flew by...

hhhmmm... not sure it was very deep, really... think we were all a bit p*ssed>:D<

and I think you look quite strong enough to pick me up like that.... are you saying I look heavy Quids... how very rude, I might just take offence and tell you off for being so cliquey and talking to me in a perfectly friendly and normal way even though you don't really know me from Adam

(who is Adam anyway? is that his forum name or real name?)

He hung around the EDF for a while, but he got the Eveho.

See he kept starting threads on the ED Issues and Gossip section about this large fruiting plant he had in the administrative centre and county city of Norfolk.

It was all Tree Of Norwich this and Tree Of Norwich that. Then this 'Eve' character joined in and kept encouraging him.

Admin warned them nuff times, ya know, but they insisted it was their Tree Of Norwich and they could do as they blimmin' liked, what with this being a democracy and all.

Well Admin showed them democracy, all right.

He waxed wrath and great was his displeasure. Any way the upshot was he banished them both east of ED.

So Camberwell or thereabouts I reckon, though my compass is a bit shonky so I could be wrong.

Shame really I quite liked Eve, though she soon learned you can only rib Admin so much.

at this time of night the above thread seems to be blurring Admin and Adam into one (in my head anyway) so I'll leave it till the morning...

I was at the Mag tonight? I've learned to play backgammon?

So I wonder who it was round at mine, half watching CSI, then Late Live and reading The Wrong Boy?

Either my evil twin was impersonating me at home or the Mag. Either way he's in trouble.

oh I must have been mistaken... oh no... look! you were there, I took a pic with my mobile... you've even got your dog with you, and look there's brendan too... and me peeping out from behind...

ps... I am ashamed to say I got you muddled up with Sean... who had gone to see In Bruge at the Mag,

ops... so sorry, there's still some confusion in my head with the forum monikers and the real names and all that...

am I forgiven?

xxcc

Of course you're forgiven Charlies, by me at least.

I wouldn't be sanguine about Sean's response to being mistaken for me though.

It may require all your powers of diplomacy to mend the fences on this one.

Mind it's a relief to know my evil twin isn't back in town.

There are still several places I can't show my face after the last time.

And Dennis The Menace, I wish!

no, no HB, don't worry, Sean PMed me and said "how cool" to be mistaken for you!

Oh lord (to keep up with the current themes), hope I haven't broken some unspoken forum rule of confidence on PM's:-$

ps Brendan said he's Denis the Menace... so I guess that means you are either the little chap on the left or the goofy one... but I'm sure you aren't a bit like either of them though...

thanks for the above...

xxcc

All I can say Charlies is how cool SM thought that it was cool to be mistaken for me.

Quite made my day that has.

I think the rule about pm confidentiality is that if by disclosing the contents of a pm you make someones day then no tort or malfeasance is committed. It's an unwritten rule, mind.

The little chap on the left? Roger The Dodger? I wish.

    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
    • Can’t imagine what it must be like you have your doorbell rung harshly.
    • Hi all, Wondering if anyone else in/around SE22 is also having the unfortunate luck of having Evri parcels delivered by a very rude individual? Whenever we have parcels delivered, our front gate is being slammed open and closed, ring doorbell is harshly banged (not pressed) followed by simultaneously banging on the door knocker and slamming the letter box multiple times. Someone is normally home by the time they come in the evening and never has to wait long for an answer. If we’re not home, we speak to them on the doorbell so we do find the actions of this individual unreasonable and rude.  We have tried a couple of times politely asking that they not do this but they are very dismissive and gives a passive-aggressive “have a nice day” reply.  Has anyone been able to contact Evri and successfully had any issues similar to this resolved? We have enough evidence through our doorbell footage but we are lost with what else we can do. We’ve tried asking politely but don’t want our gate or door damaged by someone who simply doesn’t care and lacks basic manners.    If anyone else is having this issue or has any advice on how we can report this, it would be much appreciated. After another dismissive reply to my concern this afternoon, I will be calling Evri tomorrow to raise a complaint. I have lost my patience with them
