badger
Tee Hee. I was also holding it in for that very reason (and then they bloomin well closed the loos up by the main stage - drats). I am *ashamed* to say I was quite taken with Mr Josh Klinghoffer :-$ and Mr Reznor ;-)Oh dear - am likely to be disowned by the rainbow drinks crowd for that comment. Ah well. citizenED
Tillie, I popped down to Dulwich Park yesterday with my little boy and could not find you. We were there around 3. Had you gone to the Dog by then?citizen Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/598-bank-holiday-weekend/page/4/#findComment-35580 Share on other sites
TillieTrotter
What a shame we didnt bump into each other Ed. I was there until after 4pm. I'll be a bit more precise the next time regarding location. Hope you had fun anyway. TillieTrotter
Went there last summer to find my great grandpas grave. Amazing place! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/598-bank-holiday-weekend/page/4/#findComment-35865 Share on other sites
spadetownboy
certainly is tt,the place has history coming out of its pores,i,ll definately be back most likely for the easter break. by the way did you find the grave, i did take a walk throught the local graveyard looking for the war graves of which there were quite a few from ww1 and ww2, always like to pay my respects whenever im in northern france/belgium,call it morbid facination or a sense of duty to those who died for our freedom i dont know, but if your great grandfather is one of the fallen in st valery cemetery then he had an unknown irishman stop last week and spare a thought for him. TillieTrotter
Thanks for that Spadetownboy. That was quite a touching thing to say. Unfortunately didnt find his grave but will definately be going back again now I have done some more research. I think morbid fascination and sense of duty and respect go hand in hand in those situations.
