I used to admire Galloway (a small part of me still does), his appearances on question time and his demolition of the US senate show why we still need him in the background of politics. Just a shame he's also said and done some crazy shit like pretending to be a cat.

I don't particularly like him or admire his methodologies but you underestimate Gorgeous George at your peril.

Ask Oona King (Bethnal Green 2005)

Ask Imran Hussein (Broadford West 2012)

The guy is probably the best orator I've even seen in the flesh and will certainly make the tv debates lively. He has the ability to reach electorate that other candidates struggle to. He won't win, but he might decide who does.

    • As a cafe, yes. And they kept all the chandeliers they hadn't sold as an antique shop still hanging up. They had a real mouse problem, quite well covered up, however.
    • Ah yes, that's right. Didn't Chandelier sell a huge range of different kinds of tea?  That militaria shop was bonkers.
    • Spinach took over from Chandelier, which was then a cafe but had been an antique shop of the same name. Some shops up from Target Arms the militaria shop.
    • My friend and I once did a cocktail crawl down Lordship Lane.  I think we started at Black Cherry (now Franco Manca). It got off to a good start when I knocked mine over and had to buy another one. Liquorish was in there somewhere. The crawl ended with me carrying a chair and her a set of glasses, both bought from an antique shop at some point on the crawl, can't remember where and long gone. Was it where Spinach is now? Somewhere round there. The antique shop, not Spinach!
