FIFA or feudalism

You'll notice that Prince William has put forward his view on the FIFA roadshow. Do you

not find it incredible that a senior member of the House of Windsor, likely to become the

unelected head of the British state, should think he can criticize Pope Blatter, 5 times elected ?

What does the Prince have to say, may we enquire, about inherited super-wealth and power?

Expect silence.

at least blatter sorta worked for his money rather than inheriting it as part of the spoils of a centuries old global campaign of rape, slavery and murder

PW has 0.5 m3 of land waiting for him on peckham rye come the glorious day.

Don't they just like to be called The FA - as they are the originals.

Surprised Blatter hasn't forced that to change :)

FWIW whoever replaces Blatter will face the same challenges (to put it diplomatically). Why? Because most countries in the world are corrupt and what we would think of as unfair. In that sense FIFA with its backhanders and pork barreling is a pretty accurate reflection of the world. It would be very surprising if whoever comes next made the organisation transparent and fair. The guy before Blatter was up on this kind of thing too.

And to tie it back to the royals, isn't it documented that there was both bribery and royal intervention in purchase of our jets by the Saudis? As the seminal LA punks Flipper sang, "that's the way, of the wooorrrld".

You have to wonder if today's resignation was sparked by something else the Feds have just found under a rock. If so he's jumping before the shit hits the fan. Entirely in keeping with the abhorrent vain $d ??$ that he is.

I suspect the Feds already had what they needed on Blatter - and the last week or so has been about privately doing a deal in exchange for coming clean and cooperating.
