Cream crackered and very stiff. Way too hot for all that running which took its toll on me. I think my crushed calf in December had an effect too. I walked quite a bit (probably why it took me 7 hours.

Well done to everyone who did took part!

At least I beat Katie Price (jordan)!

Finished in 4'22" and was a bit disappointed as I was hoping to go under 4 hours but I did raise nearly ?800 and counting for the 999 Club so thank you so much to all the VERY generous forumites who sponsored me. Boy was it hot and boy do my legs hurt now and my Garmin told me I'd done 26.75 miles so there was a bit extra distance too. What's next? :))

    • Don't think there'll be much glee around today with what's happened in Poland and France 😕
    • Sounds a horrible, random attack, quite possibly for social media clicks, or some kind of sick initiation into goodness knows what - it is reported they were filming the incident. I do not really doubt that any of this is true. Perhaps the friend who reported it elsewhere does not want to be identifiable? There has been an emerging issue with different types of anti-social teenage/ young adult behaviour on the Rye this summer and this latest incident indicates a tipping point into something much nastier. The park should be a safe and enjoyable space for all.
    • It is back to its proper route. The bus was diverted due to an incident on Pytchley Road yesterday afternoon.
