I don't know I'm asking you ?

I mean "staffs" have taken over with their meathead owners treating them like accessories, sure there are other fancy minature breeds but where are the mongrels these days the proper dogs? who still has a "Heinz" anymore

Maybe they've all been taken down the real pub by the real men , looking for some real women.

The poor dogs are not to blame, I know ,that for years now these mad dogs they have now been dosed up on anabolic steriods, to make them big muscled and aggressive, this includes rotts and pit bulls,. The goverment have let us all down on the dangerous dog act. No child is safe in the presence of these kind of drug abused animals. So I agree with you Wolf.

Last Sunday at Footscray Meadows, on the edge of London, I saw a Tibetan Terrier, Labradoodle,, couple of Yorkies, lovely Rottweiller, 15 Westies (various owners), couple of Cairns, couple of Kerry Blue Terriers, Fox Terriers, Welsh Terriers, a Border Terrier and Border Collie, various Cross-Breeds and 15 other breeds that I can't think of at the moment.

Few Staffs, even less Pit-Bulls but we all know its down to The Owners in 99% of the cases if a Dog turns nasty.

Can't remember the last time I saw a Pit-Bull and yet every second owner seems to have them on the mean streets of Hinner(sic) London...thats Hinner as opposed to Houter ...:)

I was staying with friends in Crete last month, now the mongrel rules supreme there, generally a mix of god knows what though a strong Husky line running through them, matted dusty coat deriggour. Handsome looking, proper rangey mongrels with a slight mad/mean look to them. I would love to bring one back but with so many in need of homes here it seems unfair to do it.

I have been onto the Battersea dogs home web site, (to many staffs there for sure )any recommendations else where for a "Rex or Laddy or even a Rover"

I thought this was a thread in response to the real women thread I saw somewhere.

Walked into a pub the other day and someone said a comment about a real dog walking in, looked behind me, no dog, realised he was talking about me!

When I was a kid growing up we had a great dog. Fabulous guard dog, very loyal and loving, and my best friend.

It was a poodle!

I have had a number of GH's as pets and they are amazing, I used to live right on the beach in Sussex & watching a pair of GH's at full pelt running circles in & out the sea at low tide is a sight to behold.

Sadly we don't have the space for a large hound like this........but a whippet, now there's a thought.

    • This is a remarkable interpretation of history. Wikipedia (with more footnotes and citations than you could shake a shitty stick at sez: The austerity programme was initiated in 2010 by the Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government. In his June 2010 budget speech, Osborne identified two goals. The first was that the structural current budget deficit would be eliminated to "achieve [a] cyclically-adjusted current balance by the end of the rolling, five-year forecast period". The second was that national debt as a percentage of GDP would fall. The government intended to achieve both of its goals through substantial reductions in public expenditure.[21] This was to be achieved by a combination of public spending cuts and tax increases amounting to £110 billion.[26] Between 2010 and 2013, the Coalition government said that it had reduced public spending by £14.3 billion compared with 2009–10.[27] Growth remained low, while unemployment rose. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom_government_austerity_programme From memory, last time around they were against the LTNs and competing with the Tories to pick up backlash votes - both failed. They had no counterproposals or ideas about how to manage congestion or pollution. This time around they're simply silent on the matter: https://www.southwark-libdems.org.uk/your-local-lib-dem-team/goosegreen Also, as we have seen from Mr Barber's comments on the new development on the old Jewsons yard, "leading campaigns to protect the character of East Dulwich and Goose Green" is code for "blocking new housing".

    • Revealing of what, exactly? I resurrected this thread, after a year, to highlight the foolishness of the OP’s op. And how posturing would be sagacity is quickly undermined by events, dear boy, events. The thread is about Mandelson. I knew he was a wrong ‘un all along, we all did; the Epstein shit just proves it. In reality, Kinnock, Blair, Brown, Starmer et all knew as well but accepted it, because they found him useful. As did a large proportion of the 2024 intake of Labour MPs who were personally vetted and approved by Mandelson.
