louisiana
GB is a fine human being buta) He doesn't have some of the qualities for PM.b) He has a tendency to surround himself with some fairly unpleasant individuals.c) He has a love of complexity (cf pension credit etc.) I prefer simplicity, which everyone can understand. It is not fair that so many pensioners do not get a decent pension because of GB's introduced complexity. (And no, I'm not a pensioner.) ????
I don't by into this fundamentally 'decent man' bit by any stretch of the imagination...i see no evidence, he strikes me as pretty unpleasant to be honest...he's often described as a politician from tip to toes which makes him SCUM ( ta Snorky) in my book. He's made plenty of enemiesHe doesn't look a team player at allHe accepts no blameHe doesn't appear to listen just 'tell'These 5 alone account for many of the myriad mistakes his governemnt have made, in additionHe's hubristicHe doesn't really strike me as that 'clever' let alone intellectualHe's never done a proper jobHe looks intent on holding on to his job at any cost to country, the economy, collegaes or his own health purely out of egoHe's chippyI could carry on but basically he looks horrendously unsuited and out of his depth Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6517-hazel-poison-dwarf-blears-gone/page/2/#findComment-209492 Share on other sites

We've had 12 years to assess GB and I think ????'s has made the point eloquently that he's flawed as a politician and as PM - I would add that his policies over the last 12 years have been for the worse rather than the better - his tendency to insist on Treasury control, his desire for micro management and set targets makes everything more complicated than it need be - and is a major flaw. What exactly has David Cameron done - he's remodelled the Conservatives, developed a string of sensible policies, he is an eloquent and persuasive speaker that can think on his feet, he has proved he can take tough decisions quickly rather than procrastinate as GB does. dukesdenver
Yes but you can't deny that being PM is as much about personality as policy and David Cameron just strikes me as insincere and smug. If he strikes you as being a decent chap, fair do's and happy voting. mockney piers
GB is directly or indirectly responsible fir most of our woes even if it was just a case of letting tony get away with stuff in the interests of his career.I don't hold out much hope for cameron. A man who described himself as the real heir to Blair... Oh fuck. The people around him don't strike me as particularly sharp either, just arrogant. We're basically doomed.
