I used to be a regular in the Clock for over 20 years until the present landlord took over, what a tool he is. Peter and Frances Key ran the place for many a year and had two sons Toby and Miles, both arrogant as feck. Frances thought she was lady muck and Peter was always maoning about how little money he made from the pub game but managed to buy and house in Chichester a boat and seemed to be on holiday every other week. The place used to have agreat atmosphere in spite of mine host being up himself and I spent many a new years eve/day drinking and carousing until 4 or 5 in the morning. I was at the leaving do for Peter and fRances and saw many punters who had been banished to the Herne and the like and hadn't been seen for many a year and haven't been seen in there since.

I always found Frances and Louise friendly and welcoming, Peter I never had much to do with apart from one occasion when he was complainig about the additional admin that processing credit card payments was supposedly causing him, I pointed out the advantage to a publican of skint drunk people with access to a credit card and that was just about it.

Miles was a prat, but he did like Elvis.

    • Looking for someone naughty on the ground? What other reason would there be, if it hasn't landed anywhere?
    • Yes I get your gist, but maybe you could just name a few of the very many you mention? I'm not sure why you find it very concerning that somebody would leave Labour for the Greens? So have many people, including me.
    • Were your concerns to do with her, as your MP? If not, then I'm sure she had more than enough to do without taking on things which weren't within her remit! She always took a very proactive role in local issues (eg the closure of the ED delivery office) and she also attended various demos with  local Labour Party members, though I can't now remember which ones (demos, not members!) I thought she was an excellent MP, and I'm sure she still is.
    • I’m not thinking of them Sue. They’ve already happened. Too many to list here but you get the gist. Very concerning that McAsh has gone to the Green Party but he’s a man with a mission!
