monica
Following on from cloth bags,i have been given a great link to a company called supreme-creations.co.uk can the edfites have a look at the bags and vote on which bag you think may be the East Dulwich cloth bag. Then cast your vote on here. They are organic and fair trade and the prices look very competitive, which will make southwark smile. Ant
Which ones did you have in mind: cotton/canvas or jute? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/685-vote-for-design-of-bags/#findComment-16340 Share on other sites
monica
cotton or canvas, jute not practical beacuse the handles can be uncomfortable, but thats my opinion.I prefer to see what the general consensus is Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/685-vote-for-design-of-bags/#findComment-16349 Share on other sites
stillsmiling
I'd personally prefer to have one with long handles. What do you want us to vote on? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/685-vote-for-design-of-bags/#findComment-16372 Share on other sites
Nero
Why not pick three or four, Monica, and then ask us to vote. The selection is too large. Analysis paralysis! Susan
Monica, these look great..Think canvas is probably a bit stronger than the cotton and as a female foodie I'm inclined towards the shopper with the longer handles (holds more and can also go over the shoulder).S Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/685-vote-for-design-of-bags/#findComment-16411 Share on other sites

Susan
I actually have a standard size cotton bag 38X43 at my desk at the moment and the real problem with these is they actually don't hold that much, ideal for flat things like bottles (I have found this one holds 3 bottles of wine!) but once you start putting in veg or odd shaped things they fill up very quickly. If these are the favoured options then I would go for the one with the extra side panels, but of course cost does need to be taken into account! missd
Monica, these do look good. I would prefer the ones with the longer handles so you can put them on your shoulder. I have a great one at the moment that i use everywhere, but it's falling apart slowly so would love to replace it. While we're here and can have the ideal bag (!!) I would probably cast a vote for a black one, with white writing on it. Otherwise the white/cream ones just end up looking really scruffy after a while. monica
The canvas shopper is the best option i agree.Hopefully we will have enough votes by friday to decide.I suggest going on to the website,we cant download all the images and if we have 4 to choose from with slightly different designs amybe it will help us decide Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/685-vote-for-design-of-bags/#findComment-16428 Share on other sites
snowboarder
The ones that they describe as 'shopper' sound like they're more sturdy than 'carrier bag' - so get my vote! The coloured one's look good but is this not so green? Not sure whether this will work....http://www.supreme-creations.co.uk/images/colorbag/canvaslong_black.jpgI will be the canvas bag queen. Fab idea monica. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/685-vote-for-design-of-bags/#findComment-16434 Share on other sites
monica
Snowboarder hopefully if the general consensus of the edf is a natural canvas bag with East dulwich on the front then im sure and hope everyone will agree.Hopefully lol Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/685-vote-for-design-of-bags/#findComment-16435 Share on other sites

buggie
is there a fold up option - have been a big fan of the fold up shoppers from sainsburys and would love to have an ED one of those. mightyroar
i agree with snowboarder on the choice.so is the idea that this gets made up with some kind of ED motif and then sold in all shops on Lordship Lane? have I missed another thread about this?
