Apparently broad is in because he can bat too.

Although to be honest Harmison also has the ability to survive 40 something deliveries for a handful of runs (as this was the most significant contribution broad made last time) in a desperate attempt to force a draw when the real batters all failed miserably.

Edit: In accordance with the prophecy.

Think I'd have to go with Broad over Harmy. Ok, Harmison's got a bit of form going, but I have zero confidence he can carry that into a test. An ashes test. As well as the top order staying in, think I'd also like to see some teeth in the bowling - I'd say Anderson needs to do something this match!

lol! Yes, he could, but I still don't think he would. Though I have to admit I can't think of any other pace bowlers. I imagine he'll be in the squad for the next test if we continue to bowl with like we did in Cardiff. But I?d ditch Anderson.

Keet ? who?d you have instead of Cook?

a class act. I''ve no idea, when did he stopped playing? I doubt there's been anyone since then. There really should be more facial hair in cricket. Surely it's part of the games heritage, can't the selctors enforce it? Even if that's just a rule for wicket keepers.

Agree with you on Cook. But that sums up how I feel about Broad too.

Not a bad morning session - Cook with a 50, no wickets and all Australian bowlers looking average at best. Not too many chances given by either Strauss or Cook - both seemed to remember, when tempted, that their task was:

a. To get to lunch without losing their wicket

b. To grind down the bowling

c. To get in and stay in.

Here's hoping the weather tomorrow allows a good day's play and that my wallet can stand the Lord's beer prices.

    • Just wanted to say how great it is to see so many people talking about local issues here. It really shows how passionate and engaged the community is. I moved to East Dulwich a couple of years ago and have loved seeing the area evolve. The local businesses are fantastic and it’s always nice to run into familiar faces when out and about. That being said, I think we could definitely use more green spaces for everyone to enjoy. It would be great to see more events or gatherings where neighbours can meet up and make the most of what we have. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this.
    • According to someone who knows, there's a broken sewage pipe from the flats above that is leaking behind the wine/sandwiches fridges. Why it's not been shut down, I don't know, as that is effluent seeping into the booze aisle.
    • I was in there recently and never noticed a smell, but I think it's been mentioned on here before. Have you asked the staff about it?
    • The empty shelves is well reported, but the sewage smell has been awful for weeks if not months, and just keeps getting worse. It started off near the Costa machine/ behind the delivery and collections booth thing, but now it hits you the second you walk in the store. I’m amazed nothing (visibly at least) appears to be going on to fix it. Somewhat relieved it’s not just me who can smell it!
