We're here with the Queen today and despite losing Straus to the second ball England currently have the edge. Good day for bowling - slightly overcast, bit humid, bowles getting some swing and Aussie batsmen don't look at all comfortable.

Great atmosphere and better now I've located the Guinness Bar.

Here is some more encouraging information. Every time England have made more than 500 in the first innings at Lords this century they have drawn the match.

Every time they have made between 390 and 490 in the first innings they have won.

So statistically they have a 100% chance of winning this game but they would have been a bit screwed if your man Collingwood hadn?t have thrown away his wicket.

Edit: Because upon reflection I can't spell.

Something rather samey about Anderson, Broad and Onions. And whenever Broad comes on to bowl, the scoring rate seems to pick up. It's about time he came to the party, as they say - a couple of wickets to lame pull shots isn't enough for me. The really bold move for Edgbaston would be Anderson, Harmison, and the unfairly sidelined Sidebottom. With Anderson batting at 9.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
