You've obviously never been to one of the exclusive ceremonies upstairs in the EDT have you Charlies. I can put you on the list but I must warn you it involves hot wax and grammar evaluations.....not to mention credit checks.

You should've seen the state of Mikecg when he failed his.....he went into Anapedantic shock and everything.

We still laughed though.

Nah, the biggest clique is the posting nonsense when sober clique.

Going back to the not enough time to follow the forum clique now...

This is getting a bit like the ipod aps advert:

if you tend to post under the influence, there's a clique for that

if you're obsessed with race issues, there's a clique for that

if you agree with people occasionally in a way that means you must be friends sticking together, there's a clique for that

and if you bring up cliques as a way to finish arguements that's like a 21st century version of "your mum", there's even a clique for that...

    • Thanks everyone for responding. I'm continuing my research, as I still can't shake away the folklore tales and still believe that there maybe an element of truth in the existence of a Roman Fort on the site of the  currrent Dawson's Heights. If anyone has any further knowledge please come forward and share.  Thanks MrEd for your last link in your post. It was fascinating to see how close the Roman road (and hence Roman activity) was to our area.
    • It really is  affecting the nervous system I agree hate it !
    • I really like Romeo Jones, Sad its going. I refuse to frequent Gails & Megans I cant bear the homogenisation of London. Its become such a bland city now.
    • It's permitted because the council grants an events licence. But if you were to blast music from your back garden for 10 hours a day accross four days, they'd shut you down on day one. There will be a noise plan in place, but it is probably the same as the one for the GALA festival, which dismisses any breach of the agreed noise levels as long as they are brought back within limits witihn 15 minutes. In other words, a breach is never really a breach according to the council. This is why local residents feel exasperated.
