goodness HeidiHi .. you have had such a similar pregnancy to me .. the wait drags doesn't it .. have you done acupuncture or reflexology yet? reflexology worked for me - we did it late friday night (after i burst into tears at the thought of a medical induction that had been booked for the monday coming) - i went into labour a few hours late and he was born at home in water! just make sure the bub is engaged before bring on on the labour .. mind you breaking of the water is supposed to "flush" them out .. didn't work for me and i had push him down myself .. hard work!

BUT if you do end up going with the medical induction just remember the end result - it's totally worth every minute - jut keep positive and strong!

Has anyone mentioned nipple tweaking, it worked for my baby when I was 2 weeks overdue. Verona Hall (a local midwife) recommended this and it sent me into labour about 2 hours later. I had previously had no Braxton hicks or any signs of anything rumbling down below!

Here's some info I found on google:

Nipple Stimulation to Self-induce

This is a practice often recommended by midwives when a woman is long past due or when labor is stalled. Nipple stimulation causes the release of oxytocin, the same hormone that causes uterine contractions. Many women report, however, that the contractions produced from this method are much stronger and more painful than natural labor, but are not any more effective. Please note: In order to use this method for induction, you must stimulate the nipples for long periods of time. The usual recommendation is 15 minutes of continual stimulation on each nipple each hour for several hours. So, the amount of stimulation you may experience during intimacy, while nursing an older child, or while pumping your breasts while pregnant will not cause you to go into labor. The general recommendation on these activities is to abstain from them when your condition warrants doctor recommended pelvic rest. Please check with your practitioner before trying this.

Hello....not sure if you're still waiting?

I had an induction [2nd baby] was deffo the easiest of all 3 births.

I just had the gel pessary and went to sleep in hospital [they gave me the pessary at 10pm] woke 7 hrs later in labour and the baby was born in under 1hr and a half!

intense labour but i was glad it was quick.

Good luck.

Thanks Mellors for updating!

Thank you all so much for asking after me, for your advices, well wishes and so forth.

It was lovely to be thought of, especially after everything that has happened!

I have posted my story on a different thread! xx

    • Going to be really inconvenient for folk to go that way as has been stated.. why not just move to Camberwell which I would assume is abit nearer and better travelling wise or have vets in both places from Lordship Lane Branch.. Must have been massive flood if going to take two months to dry out, electrical tests to make sure all good… From upstairs? Or where?
    • @selector73 Thanks!  Because we want him to be treated by the vets that know him we will have to get to the New X branch because thats where the team are based until LL reopens. Thank you again 🙏
    • There's 1 in camberwell hope that helps
    • Thank you !  We Will find a way to get him to New X because We owe his life to the vets he sees at Lordship Lane branch and they know him (and us) and we prefer the continuity of care because he's an elderly rescue cat who gets extremely anxious even though he's been needing monthly bloods he just never gets used to going and it can be a lengthy process just getting the sample. Can you tell I'm as anxious about the whole thing as he is??😥
