Oh for gods sake, it's a joke!!! I even went to the trouble of contacting annaj to let her know there was no malicious intent and she said she enjoyed it and it made her laugh.

Basically, it was just me pissing about as usual. Nothing more and nothing less.

Speak for yourself! I've started a silly thread because annaj kept shooting down my shoddy attempts at correcting her grammar. She politely demonstrated that I'd fall at every attempt. Everyone has been enjoying this thread as a silly joke.

Then...

You come along spoiling for a fight once again, and insiuate that it's some kind of warped and disturbing homage to a woman I've never met.

You are the one that is pathetic, not I.

Boys, please don't fight on my thread.

I appreciate the concern from anyone who thought this was creepy or sinister, but it honestly never even crossed my mind that it was anything other than a joke and I know that's the spirit in which it was meant.

Jah, BBW does sometimes go too far and when I think he has I don't hesitate to tell him so, but this is just a bit of silly fun.

BBW, Jah really is a lovely man and I don't understand why the two of you get into such fights, but don't please don't get into another one now.

Now, please, can we just let this thread slide away down the page.

"Where the feck do you get of? Dig dig dig dig dig dig."

I get off on messing about and encourageing others to laugh a little.

"You're a fantasist."

Thank you Jah, I'll take that as a compliment. Yes, I have to agree that I am a bit of a fantasist considering all the stories and situations I enjoy conjuring up and crafting for the humerous benefit of others.

"I've seen the crap in the archery thread too but I really can't be arsed."

I'm being honest about my hobby but what I think your talking about the misconstrued insinuation that if I were to spot you in a pub garden enjoying a pint of cider I'd shoot at you. I didn't start off that vein of discussion in the thread in question, I was merely defusing what could be seen by you as a threat. Although we often lock horns I can honestly say that I would never genuinely wish harm against you. It was merely a parody of a popular advert.

    • A shout out for Mark, owner of Pure Plumbers. 07970 971510 They're well established in the Sevenoaks area, but have recently started doing more work in SE London.  Did some v quick and efficient bathroom and boiler fixes for me; have also seen some of the bathrooms he's built, which have a nice attention to detail. • Totally agree regarding not supporting chains. Gail’s was fine but last time I went in Feb this year, actually walked out Fayetteville looking at menu and waiting 15 minutes to even get glass of water and not busy at all. Staff gone down hill - sooner it goes the better… Always prefer to support non chains - so many lovely places with good food to choose from with pleasant staff who know about customer service and sadly, non English which says a lot for our culture, pubs are also becoming abit of a hit and miss affair but maybe just unlucky. At the end of the day all about the chef. Still abit unclear where new place is located - is it down the road from Goose Green where parade of shops are before Peckham Rye?
    • Surely only where the local businesses offer clear advantages, otherwise you are rewarding what should be failure. I want to be served by a better bakery than Gail's, not a worse but local independent one. Certainly give a local independent some time to get the offer right, but don't buy goods which are worse and or more expensive just because the outlet isn't a chain.
    • Let’s just boycott all chains in favour of local businesses.  Places like Gail’s popping up everywhere has a very damaging impact on small businesses. It’s just the same as the new empanadas place but on a bigger scale. I’ll say it a million times more, we hold the power with our choices. Let’s use our power to look after ourselves and our environment (which includes small local family businesses). And yes, I also love Chacarero.
