FatherJack
PGC I think we were at the same game.....Millwall away?? Nothing was thrown at the bugger and SEVERAL officials were down on their hands and knees in the pouring rain looking for the mysterious object.....nothing found because nothing was thrown on that occasion....given the way he fell I thought he'd been hit by sniper fire.....He was a pundit on a FA cup final when he said "If Chelsea play Sean I want them to win, If they don't I don't care who wins" I wonder did Sean feel the same way.....team spirit and all that...... Peckhamgatecrasher
Poss. It was the Cocoa Cola Cup back then. I remember being coralled into a corner with corrugated tin blocking a lot of the view, and it was when the North Stand had those silly paintings on the hoarding. FatherJack
Yep and the away fans were exposed to the weather......it was Coca Cola and to be honest still is in my mind but I know others who insist on referring to it as the Milk Cup...I've digressed.....back to Ian Wright Wright Wright......whatever Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7886-ian-wright/page/2/#findComment-245499 Share on other sites

*Bob*
It must be hard when your name is 'Wright' and you work in television.Clearly the temptation to indulge in tiresome punning on the word 'Wright' is too great to resist. Tony.London Suburbs
wrighty supported the Irons as a kid FACT"Ian Edward Wright, as any biography will tell you, was born on 3 November 1963, in Woolwich, London. More than likely, those same biographies will tell you that he started his football career belatedly, 1985 to be precise. MILLWALL , the club Ian has supported since childhood, ignored his talents, then Brighton & Hove Albion also turned him down in 1983...."As I was saying...B) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7886-ian-wright/page/2/#findComment-245647 Share on other sites

Never went in, as I was only 14 / 15, but always remember sitting at the bus stop opposite, on the way home from somewhere like the venue. Every Friday / Saturday night, you'd have rows of BMWs parked off street on Peckham Rye!
