Would prefer Waitrose to use the space and buy out Co-Op and have a decent sized store .

Seriously though I changed from NatWest in Peckham to HSBC since the latter is on my doorstep more or less just for HSBC to be closing down from January meaning I end up traipsing to Peckham as I did originally . The irony .

It's two branches in Peckham. The existing one at the Peckham Rye end of Rye Lane and the former Woolwich branch opposite HSBC.

Both Barclays and HSBC have been closing branches or reducing hours. Forest Hill Barclays no longer opens on Wednesday and HSBC recently closed in Penge.

As for the Village Barclays, it could be debated that the customers are affulent enough to keep it a viable branch, despite not offering an ATM. That could be down to our friends at the Dulwich Estate.

    • Bowley Close at Crystal Palace has a NHS  specialist Orthotic clinic - I have to wear specialist shoes and they take all the measurements to send off. for shoes to be made, You will need a GP referral My grand daughter is in her 2nd year degree in Podiatry and she usually does my feet, As she does not live locally, there are times when I need to go to the Woodwarde  Road, Very expensive and prices change in accordance to whom you see,  Last time I went they told me I had a verruca and needed treatment which I noticed on their price list, was over £100. Consulted my grand daughter, who examined my foot and advised that verruca was very small and looked as though it would go away itself. She checked my feet a couple of months later - no sign of a verruca.

    • Then if you hate it so much move to another surgery rather than slag it off here.  They have been fine with me, not perfect but fine.  You started this thread by asking a number of questions for a PPG meeting, which is reasonable, but now you have gone in with both barrels loaded.  Are most of your posts angry ones?  That is a serious question. I've also spoken when at the surgery to one of the patients committee to present a slightly more positive view.  More on that discussion for another time/thread
