a_m
Some sort of major incident on Grove Vale which is closed to cars and pedestrians in the section just before the station (if you are coming from Goose Green). You can get to the station on foot if you cut down Copleston and take the shortcut through Hayes Grove. James Barber
Pictures on Twitter show two fire engines and a number of firefighters and lots of hoses and connections to water fire hydrants plus several police cars. hopefully only loss of property involved and no one harmed. Baroness Millhaven
Hope the Cherry Tree hasn't been torched. That would be tragic after such a successful refurb. ecolover
No crashes, collisions or fires or anyone hurt thank goodness - a personal incident in a flat on this section of the road but with a chance of a possible ramificatiosn to the immediate area, hence the cordoning off, so I am told. All happeneing outside our shop. Eek! slarti b
Ahhh... that explains why 185 and 176 were going along East Dulwich Grove this morning. Guessing they were diverting up Denmark Hill then down Sunray Avenue and Red Post Hill. Grok
OTT response by the police as usual. Billy Big Potato cops unnecessarily closing the road and disrupting hundreds of people to show how big their spuds are. Ridiculous. Oh, and before all the bleeding hearts, and others complain about my opinion, talk to the staff in the Cherry Tree that saw it all and concur it was well OTT! civilservant
our bus stopped for a while to allow the ambulance to attend the incident - from what i could see, it involved a pedestrian. it didn't seem right to hang around - i do hope he's ok. Lynne
It was ludicrously over done. I thought it must be a major incident. We pay the police wages, and they keep on how little money they have. O'm not surprised if they need every policeman in SE London to deal with one incident Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/80617-grove-vale-closed-tuesday-27102015/#findComment-919308 Share on other sites
