We are looking for Yoga,Pilates,Massage,Reiki,Life coaching,Counsellor,Reflexologist practitioners (open to other practices)to run their practices at The Big Calm retreat out in beautiful Kefalonia next year.

The Big Calm is a holistic centre based over Koroni beach in the south of the stunning island of Kefalonia in the Ionian islands of Greece. Its purpose is to offer practices & disciplines for the hardworking, for the stressed, for those looking for some balance & direction in their lives. Any profits will be used to give carers a holiday retreat with us.

We run as a cooperative & all practitioners will have all their accommodation paid for & be collected & returned to the airport. When not practising, your time is your own to explore this truly beautiful island.Your pay will be split equally amongst the other practitioners.

We encourage you to offer our retreats to your customers & we, in return will recommend our customers to contact you on their return, in order to continue the practices that they have enjoyed & benefitted from. We also offer our centre for separate weeks for you to run your own retreats & can discuss arrangements with you.

We will be offering "Ladies that yoga" long weekends.singles weeks, selected family weeks,& specialist holidays involving photography, writing, counselling, individual & company life coaching courses, with relationship counselling.

    • Southwark website says they can investigate barking dogs.  If the noise is happening ‘now’ they say to call them on 020 7525 5777. I suggest you share the address with those locally affected, and then all call the number when you hear the dog barking. If there are enough complaints, the rapid noise team will attend (they can only really properly assess if the threshold is met if: they attend, hear recordings of the sound, or receive a high number of complaints).    you can also report online each time.    the rapid noise team can attend, and also warn the occupant as it is a ‘nuisance ‘ (barking for an hour each time on repeated occasions). you can also record the sound and send the links to the noise team, and also the neighbour (if you have their contact details).   Allowing prolonged barking is a nuisance, and saying that it is ‘caused by anxiety’, doesn’t mean that it is not also causing a noise nuisance. Hopefully this will stop the dog being left on its own for so long.
    • The papers can be seen at https://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=172&MId=8334.   I had thought of watching the thing myself online, but my diary secretary let me down.
    • Hard to believe there’s only one doctor ‘available’ each day.  I wonder what they are available for.  Actually seeing patients? Dealing with patient phone calls?  Signing prescriptions?   I do know that they often give over the phone calls to pharmacists, paramedics or nurse practioners.
    • If it weren't for those damn cyclists then you wouldn't have had to have your poor darlings fight tooth and nail against Beverly to get a seat on the 356. She's 84, yes, but she's spry and she'll gouge out an eye or two so she can get to the bingo on time.  Personally I say we round up everyone who owns even an ounce of licra and cut their heads off.
