Thanks, can't get to this in time I don't think due to school run, suspect it will be full when I arrive, but may try for the afternoon session, and just leave early for school pick up, gosh the days get short when you've got a 'big one' at school.

Would have been nice to see you Pickle....

Hello

There should be bookstart at Ivydale children's centre at 1.45. It is printed in the Let's Go timetable as being Mon pm, but I turned up yesterday to be told thy have swapped it to today. Was a good experience though, as Miles who runs it showed me round the lovely new centre, sounds like they've got some nice things planned.

Hi Karen,

Of course you can, I will be there tomorrow morning from soon after 9.30am until 11am if you can make it?

Give me a bell if you like, or just meet me there, Yvonne that runs it is really friendly anyway, really welcoming.

it is probably too late now as the forum will close in 40 min (sob sob) but try toddler group at Copleston Centre (in a church hall on the corner of Copleston Rd and Danby St, SE15). Very good for toddlers as a lot of space to run around, an indoor slide, also there are always arts and craft activities, and book corners. There is a baby corner as well with matts and toys. The ladies who run it as very welcoming and friendly. and free coffee and tea for Mums :)

    • I'm guessing that most people with pets would not bring either the pets or fireworks into their day to day conversations, to complain or otherwise. Are you suggesting that only "timid" pets are scared by fireworks? What evidence do you have for that, exactly?  Or are you equating being scared of fireworks with being "timid"? And what about the foxes and other wildlife? Is it ok for them to be scared? Firework noise is not a noise that "comes with normal city living" ! What a very strange thing to say! Are you one of the people who have been constantly letting off fireworks recently? I'm assuming you don't have any pets yourself, or you wouldn't have these opinions, but if you do have pets, please share how they react when they hear loud bangs. Unless they are goldfish, in which case you probably wouldn't be able to tell.
